My jetpack

Hey guys, I recently got my jetpack, it's an NME body with Bobamaker rocket and thrusters. I got it very cheap so it needs some work to get it perfect.

The old rocket and thruster parts are still there but are glued in, I'm going to cut them out, will a Dremel work against fibreglass and how can I clean out the inside of the pack? Can I just put water inside of it via a hose or something?

Depending how thick the layer is, a dremel should work. But have a few blades ready, ive snapped a few cutting out thicker layer for other props.
Also maybe try air in a can to clean out the interior.

Oh and make sure to wear some type of mask or respirator, that resin dust is harsh.

As it's pre painted a rough sand would suffice with the outside clean-up? Because obviously paints don't mix with paints so straight up painting the outside of the jetpack will cause paint cracking.

Is there a specific way people put their rockets into their packs?

I made my MOW pack to be disassembled for transport ease.

Some connect them with hooks on the thrusters and an elastic rope that draws them together while trooping. Then you can remive the rope and take the thrusters away from transport.
There is a thread around here I saw some weeks ago but I just cant find it...

Both really, I meant to say both haha. I've heard the wing and nut set up is the best way so I think I'll do that.

For my thrusters I have a thin piece of pvc pipe going thru the pack into or onto the part that sticks into the pack so they kind of move uniformly, if that makes some sense

Yeah, I have wooden dowel in mine right now that does the same for the thrusters.

Sawed my rocket down so it fit into my pack, so now I can take the rocket out and put it back in with ease.

I have a different question though, mentioned in my post to begin with. Has anyone used oven cleaner to strip paint off a Fibreglass piece, or is the be all end all way just to grit my teeth and sand it.

Brake fluid will work wonders, FYI.

It will lift most paints (like automotive paint) from the subsurface. I don't know if it will damage fiberglass, best to google it. I was kind of kidding, but it may work really well. You can wash it off when done with soap and water.
