Hey all,

About 3 and a half years ago, I was working in a film museum in London. There were all sorts of props and costumes from various genres of film within the British Film industry. Sadly a lot of these props and costumes were replicas but still cool nonetheless. A very good friend of mine who also worked at the museum is heavily into costuming and prop building and has been for most of his life. We frequently spoke about Star Wars and it was great to see someone just as enthusiastic about the original films.
He told me he'd recently bought a Boba Fett costume from a prop maker friend and that it only needed a few bits to complete.
I have to confess I knew hardly anything about Fett and having seen ESB and ROTJ hundreds of times I never even realised there was a difference!
He showed me some pictures and it looked awesome. I told him that I'd love to put something like that together and he pointed me in the direction of TDH.
Now as I pointed out, I knew nothing about the history of Fett's costume and unfortunately in my excitement, I jumped in with two feet and started ordering various parts off eBay without really doing enough research. Bad move and a waste of money.
I soon realised that this wasn't any ordinary costume to put together and it was going to take time and research and most importantly, patience.
I decided I wanted to go ROTJ and have it as accurate as possible. I knew this would be expensive and I knew it wouldn't be ready for Halloween 2012!!!
3 years on I'm nearly there.
I've been waiting and looking for found parts for a long time and here is what I have so far:

Thanks to each and everyone at TDH. This is a great community and the fact that we are all helping each other out every day is testament to the people who love this hobby.

I laughed at the " in my excitement, I jumped in with two feet and started ordering various parts off eBay without really doing enough research. Bad move and a waste of money" I reakon this is almost a right of passage. It amazing how little you know prior, and if you knew how little you knew prior you'd know alot more you do......but i guess this is why his is such a fun hobby.

Yes definitely! Its expensive enough as it is and to any newbies out there, I cant stress enough how important it is to research beforehand, especially if you are on a budget.
There are so many great guys on here and what's so nice is the amount of people willing to share their advice and experiences (good and bad) so that as a community we all reach that goal successfully.
