My foray into boba fett esb

I can highly recommend Fettpride's holster and Mojo's sidearm. Extremely awesome products. BFUK shin tools as well.

Well its christmas in janurary , got home to day to three packages , first off
1. Woodmans cape = cape is very nice , I don't lnow about colors (colorblind) but he definatly put some time into constructing and weathering it , To me its perfect , and a fast and pleasent transaction
2. cucblacks vest = again very nice vest i tried it on over a sweatshirt , and i think it fits perfect . the only thing im not sure of is the pre attached velcro , while i'm glad i don't have to do it . i just hope the armor covers it .
3. fenixprops helmet padding , forgot i even ordered it , but its very nice sides , back , and top seem beffier than mr's , which should stop the boble head effect .
all in all im happy with my purchases so far , more to follow. my jetpack is suppose to ship today ,and my blaster tommorrow . hopefully i will have them both by the weekend .

woodmans wookie braids came today like 4 days after i paid , and they are awesome , helmet is not the helm im using for this project. just an old mystery

and i got some armor bits today , and you can see i wasnt wrong about the velcro being a bad thing luckily i can sew a bit

two more boxes today > yeah .. ok i bought fettdads blaster , and jettpack harness , exceptional , both product and customer service , i also bought some fettpride armor pieces from him that came as well very nice ..
and i got my mow jetpack today , and man is it built to last , very clean and heavy duty .. highest possible recommendation on all parts so far ( except the velcro on cucblacks vest

hopefully ....... the bottom just dropped out at work 5 out of 7 guys went home right away this morning .no work

You might be interested to know that your armor is NOT version 1 but actually version 2 You just got an instant digital upgrade for free my friend

Duly noted And on that note, I think you overestimated what you're going to have to do to the helmet when you get it. Keep in mind, I just wanted people to be aware that the new budget's weren't built to be cranial protection devices (construction hard hats) , but they're not flimsy by any means. I think you'll be quite surprised with the quality even for a budget

I wasnt tryin to say anythin bad about your helms , i just assumed it would need some work , because of the price , and what you had stated in your xmas thread ) that being said i know you are the man , and it will be the nicest helm i have ever laid hands on ..

threw a little paint on the chest pieces , and the main part of the jp . i love krylon paints

so after looking at how others have attached there armor , i decided velcro wasn't going to cut it , but i didnt want to punch a bunch of holes in my vest . so i pulled most of the velcro off, a nd went to walmart and picked up a buch of these sew on snaps , sew'd them on and 5 min epoxy to the armor , and walla sturdy yet easy to move if its not straight

Goodness gracious bro, you are moving fast.... can't believe how fast you are getting your bit's and how fast you are painting up....
My build started in August (more or less) and i'm expecting to be finished by the end of February... then i'll start my put together thread...

I'll second what clonecollector has said... I really like the idea of those sew on snaps.... I too don't want to punch holes in my flak vest either....

thx guys , yeah the speed of the project has been helped by being only one of two heating service guys on call 24-7 in a three county area , great money,,,, no sleep .

a little update on the jp missle not attached , i needs some earth magnets

Did some work on the armor today , krylon silver, yellow zinc chromate , the us med green , with a little panzer mist over the top , and a little weathring

Everything looks great so far!! I really like the thought of the sew-on snaps. Like you said, inexpensive and easy to use. I may have to keep those in mind when I decide to tackle this. Thanks for the tip.

Lovin it bro keep up the good work as it is coming along nicely. Love the idea that you came up with for securing the armor to the vest, I will have to look heavily into this method when I do mine.

get my fp budget helm today , and wow is all that can be said . check his for sale thread for a better review , anyway got the visor installed ,and some silver base coat on . will start painting it tommorrow , if all goes well

thx , yeah im on call evey other week so i don't leave the house unless im on a call ,also its winter ,and i work outside so playing outside is out of the question , summer time im no indoors to much . anyway did some work on the helm today , i cant reiterate enough how much i love this helmet , and windsor newton ,

Ok so i wasnt to happy with the helmet paint job , i love the layered efffect but personally i cant get the detail so i went back to topical , and well t takes a while longer her is about 6 hours worth of work

Hey Bro looking great I wish my bucket would hurry up and get here. What are you using to apply the masking fluid that was not giving you the detail that you wanted.

thx . im using a thin detail brush to apply the masking fluid its jusrt to hard to differnciate ? between the colors , topically its much easier .

Travis, I feel like a heel man ! The last time I was in your thread there wasn't much progress. When I saw the need to address
Rob's post, I hadn't even look "UP" to see what was new Your paint work looked terrific already, but going topical
was a great choice IMO. It looks fantastic so far !!

Have to say Im diggin the paint job as well.

finished up the paint except for the killstripes ,and such , waiting on the decals/stencils my best paintjob yet < imo , anyway gonna work on the back plate tommorrow ,got some jetspack hooks , and shoulder bells coming , and pretty soon the lifesize bust will be done , unfortunetly , i gotta be responsible ,and pay bills , so i wont be buying much for a while

Hey bro just took a little closer loo at your suite love the idea that you came up with to hold the braids in place I will have to add something like that to my vest. Also that paint job is looking good so far can't wait to see it finished!!!

well im callin the helmet finished , although i will repaint the back right hand side in the future , for now though she is done

It keeps getting better and better

well i received jettpack hooksfrom bobbyfettuk , and my 99 cent taco belt , hooks are awesome ,well made and sturdy , belt however i was a little shocked at how easily one can tear open the pouches ( i saw a button ,and accidenbtly with very little force ripped it open , oh well nothing a little hot glue didnt fix ,
all that i am waiting for at this point is my jumpsuit from arkady and my side pouches from ladysewforus , and the rest is on hold for a bit (gotta finish the bathroom downstairs ,and add two more bedrooms ) after that its full steam ahead , and i hope to have it ready by dcon

where did you get that awesome torso-mannaquinne (lousy spelling i know) stand that you displayed your armor and helmet on? I think that's really cool.

How well are the buttons working out holding the armor on there?

torso mannequin came from ebay with a frankenstien head , ill show it some time , and so far the snaps work perfect , of course i wont really know until i troop in it

got my esb suit and pouches from arkady , and LSW , and all i can say is wow wow wow .. top qualitly all the way around and it fits like a f###in glove , extremly happy with it , i will suit up with what i have a little later for some pics

now keep in mind i just slapped this on with the help of my son , and took some quick pics , i will definatly tkae pics and make udjustments , before stepping outside .

wow almost two years to the day , i am rebooting this thread .updates to folllow.

not dead yet , as you can see from my progress pics, and you are to blame . when you kinda offered a fett helmet for my underworld costume it got my all fett crazy again
