My completed Boba Fett!

GUINZO1975

Active Hunter
Guys,

I finished my Boba Fett! The only thing missing is the cape. I have the shelter half and my mother is going to sew it for me. I put all the stuff on a manequin. I actually got a pretty cheap manequin, $170 shipped from roxy display, it has bendable arms. I attached the photos, enjoy!

It is a Special Edition Boba Fett. I plan on joining the 501st with this costume. I hope I get accepted.

Get that thing dirty! It's way too clean! And I'm not sure if it's just how it sits on the mannequin, but the jetpack is sitting a little low, should be an easy fix.

Other than that it looks great. I think you'll have no problems being accepted.

Ha ha! I'll have to mist it with some black spray paint. As you can see, the side pouches and ankle spats are really dirty! I'll do the same with the jumpsuit and I'll need to weather the boots. As far as the jetpack goes, It looked like it was sitting too low. I should be able to fix it by adjusting the straps. I also have the shin tools but they're not finished yet.

You could use charcoal for the weathering, too. That's my favorite method, but if you wash it you have to do it again :facepalm. Another way is to use dark pastels.

I want to thank the following people for this awesome fett!

Armor : Fettpride, painted by me
Gauntlets: Fettpride, painted by me
Jetpack: Manofwar, painted by me
Jumpsuit: Ladysewforus
Vest: Ladysewforus/Darthcarnicus/Arkady
Chest Lights: Fettronics
Helmet: Master Replicas
Jettpack Harness: Fettdad
Metal Beacon and Stabilizer: Serenity
I think the missile is from Russrep but i'm not sure since I got it off another member here.

Big thanks to Stormtrooperguy for his tutorials on rattlecan colors and the photos which he makes available from the Magic of Myth. I could not have done it without that stuff.

TK409's web site was also great for the tutorials and brought me to this site.

If I missed anyone I apologize.

THANK YOU GUYS!

My mission now is to joing

You guys were not kidding about how much hard work it takes to complete this. I must add one warning. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN USING CLEARCOAT. I actually ruined the paint with the clear coat and had to do the jetpack and gauntlets over!

When your weathering, remember to make it really dirty.(y) to the point that its almost black... if that makes sense.

take your time... and if you have a digital camera take pics, then you can see if the weathering is right.

The movie version is really weathered and was filmed under a lot of lighting...
so if you compare it to yours it should be good.

I weathered my boots to the point it was really dark, in pics it look spot on, IMO.

good luck.
