Mullreel's ROTJ SE WIP

I know this is a ROTJ SE thread but I am working on this ROTJ helmet as well. As I posted on another forum I have learned a lot about layering, topical application and airbrushing......and cleaning up mistakes. I am not happy with the helmet right now but I will post some pics.....

This is a Bobamaker helmet.

Far from done with it but at least I am starting to see ROTJ when I look at it.

Some of my spacing is off and there are some colors that still need to be added to the damage.....

Lining up the damage on the dome proved to be a bit more tricky than I thought it would. But as I said I am learning a lot from this process.

Batninja neck seal sewn onto flight suit now.

Picked up a MOW jet pack harness for now till I can get a real harness. Hopefully I can get a day to try everything on soon WITH the jet pack. Still need to get the straps and such for the harness though.

Still working on some things but it is getting close. Also the title says ROTJ SE but for right now I am going full ROTJ

I have a jet pack harness that I need to finish and a divers buckle.........just need to put the things together. The fabric harness that I am wearing in this pic killed my back...........after 5 hours...lol

Well this troop isn't the best for deciding what works well because you have to get the kit on and then go STAND in the staging area for about 2 hours. So it isn't like a normal troop where you are moving around......you just stand there and get stiff, then walk quickly for about a mile and a half.

But to address the jetpack harness, the MOW harness works just fine. The only real problem is that the weight is all on your shoulders. The screen accurate harness has the lower belt with the divers buckle and the jetpack sits on the lower part of the harness and attaches to the top. That set up distributes the weight better.

But like I said this is not a typical troop so information is anecdotal.

My upgraded braids came in today from Julie..........these are incredible

Great job there, buddy. That's exactly the level of weathering I'm trying to get mine at too.

Thanks.........I used mostly spray paints misted over the suit to weather it. On the vest I used some airbrushing.

Looks awesome so far and the flight suit looks great. Rit dye is the devil..... I must have dyed and bleached my tusken robes 8 times.

yes getting the dye just right is part magic and mysticism.......

Here is a pre parade pic with all of the Mandalorian Mercs that were there and the two Fetts.

image.jpegMet Mullreel last night at the Alamo Draft House. Told him I was getting ready to start my ROTJ Fett. I guess I wore the right shirt for the night.

These are from the promo shoot with the Texas Rangers. We will be having Star Wars Weekend this week so I hope to have some good shots from the games.
