    MoW's New ESB Gauntlet Progress

Well guys, I finally got my new resin ESB MoW gauntlets in today. I thought they would come with a dental expander cast, it didnt, but it is fine, I can always make one. Im so happy to finally get to work on something.

edit - BTW, I forgot to say that MoWs new gauntlets look really great in person. Pics dont do it justice. There is some MINOR cleanup but thats it. Maybe 1 or two air bubbles total.

My agenda for tomorow will be to grind down the pour spouts, sand the bottoms flush, and start painting.

    Ill have pics up later.

    Update:

Alright, I got some, actually alot of paint on there. I got down the weathering, and damaged areas. I am sure that there are more silver areas. If anyone can spot that please let me know.

This is what they looked like about an hour ago.

    And here we are now!

Re: MoW's New ESB Gauntlet Progress

I am sorry but that is a secret that I cannot reveal.

    Lol anyways....

For a basecoat, I used Panzer Olive Green, previously lightened with white. Then i basically misted darker POG on top and all the weathering in the undercuts, I used dark POG, and went over them with some grey and a little bit of black. So basically I used the main color for the helmet dome and cheeks but used light and dark tones to achieve the green I wanted.

    Hope that helps.

thanks. I painted mine with rattlecans and they are too dark. last night I ordered all the colors for my helmet to airbrush so I'll have to give them a try on my gauntlets too.

Yep. Mine turned out a bit TOO light, so I would say depending on the shade of your armor, make it a bit lighter.

    Thanks!

I painted the white detail in here.

I sculpted this out of clay, molded it and cast it, in about 20 minutes. Just as a test to see if it is possible

I also got the velcro attached

Anybody have a hair filter on here?

Re: MoW's New ESB Gauntlet Progress

Thanks! I think I might just sculpt another more accurate to the real thing, and mold that up. Maybe sell copies. Until I find a real one to mold.
