    Jan 6, 2011, 3:36 AM - MOW ESB Guantlets #1

Hello again to all, I just wanted to share some more pictures of my project. I have taken a break from working on my MOW ESB version jetpack, and focus on the guantlets. Some of you might be on the fence about spending the money on these particular guantlets, so I'm sharing my experience with this thread. I am extremely satisfied with the turnout so far.

Fresh from the box. Flame Unit and extra items. Sanded and primed. Primed Flame Unit.
    Finished painting/ assembly of
Flame Unit.

The Flame Unit is both metal and plastic, very strong and sturdy. There is sanding and drilling involved, but nothing too complex, just make sure you use a ruler for measurements. Dont "eye-ball" anything, take your time. Now back to some more pics.......

Left Guantlet Closeup of the weathering on Flame Unit. Opposite side of L Guantlet. Front view.
    Now the Right Guantlet.....

Right Guantlet. Opposite side. Top view.
    still looking for darts......

Snapshot of the inside of L
Guantlet. R Guantlet on Forearm of my
Jumpsuit with hose.

Well thats were I sit as of now, hope you have enjoyed. I'm looking forward to the feedback, any ideas or recomendation will be appreciated!

oh, couple of things from my observation, the MQ-1 keypad on the left guants should be upside down, i think you should put it in the right direction and re-paint the red and blue botton again. The utmost front of the same guants ( in front of the MQ-1 keypad ) should be modified in a curve, now it is just a flat line. On the right gauntlet's rope thrower, there should be some white in the front black tube area, it is not entirely black ( but maybe you have it, just it did show up in the picture )...

    Excellent paint job and weathering!

I have MOW's 2009 gauntlets and I'm seriously thinking of upgrading to these in the future.

Oh no, it's resin. I like to use about four coats of copper spray paint, but buffing with fine steel wool in-between coats it gives it that metal look. Thanks again for the insight, Im working on the keypad tonight.

Very nice work. Are the new MOW gauntlets the same size as the earlier version?

To tell you the truth, I am not sure if they are the same size as the earlier version. Does anybody else know?

I believe all he did was make the lower shells resin vs. vacuuformed. I could be wrong though.
