MOW ESB GAUNTLET MAGNETIC CLOSURE

hey brother, how thick is the metal on your gauntlets? i really think if they bend a little bit, you could easily attach one, maybe two of these magnets like on the top shell, and then when you put them together, they should bond with the lower half, so you wouldnt even need the magnets to bond together, just bond with the gauntlets themselves...(y) you may need to take some of the paint off, but should be fine...

I'm not sure...I'll have to measure it, but I think I know what you're getting at. Put a magnet like yours, maybe even a bit stronger, anywhere in the top half and let the metal magnetize itself, thereby making the overlapping ends snap together? I'll definitely give it a try. The magnets come in two packs, so I can experiment on placement and use both if necessary. Plus, rare earth magnets have plenty of uses, so I'm sure I find something else to do with them if I have extras.

Thats a great system you've got there. I'm thinking of trying something similar to hold my collar and backplate together. Any thoughts on wether this would work or not?

Rare earth magnets...I never would have thought of that. Very innovative. I think i'm going to consider using them for my guantlets when i get them. Thanks for the tip!

thanks guys! i love this method personally...(y) bossy, as far as any other armor piece i dont know...the bond is pretty good, so i dont see why it wouldnt work, i guess just give it a shot! :)
