Howdy folks-
Took the plunge and worked up the MoW boots for my still-in-progress ESB Fett. I used SpideyFett's tutorial for the most part, then adapted along the way for the ESB weathering (noticably darker). Below are the staging pics I took as I moved along. But as this is my first go here and I haven't locked in the work yet with any fixative, any feedback is good to hear.

Boots as received from MoW (and a light sanding to start).

As per Spidey, a charcoal & white wash to start (using Cermacoat acrylics).

Here, I added the charcoal-only wash (pic only shows it on the left boot).

Ok, here's where I diverged from Spidey's recipe a bit. I then added a light black-only wash over the whole boot, darkening the base even further. I did this using a rag rather a brush, so the laying in of the wash was varied.
Once that dried, I added the center black stripe, using 1:1 black with a brush.

I then darkened the soles, using the same black-only wash (about 1:1.5) - however, I used a brush this time and wiped away any access.

Here, I added more black to the original wash mix (nearly 1:1 now) and painted it directly on the boot -- and added the toe spikes on as well. (It looks much darker in this pic as they're still wet...)
Once this final layer dried, I then sanded the surface, working my way from the top and then lightly towards the bottom. I also sanded the soles a bit more and did a slight wash on the spikes as well (sanded them very lightly too).

This final pic doesn't show it off best, but there's some nice weathering throughout both boots.

It can still stand to use some beating up and variation, but I'm pretty happy with the end result. I know some will feel that I went too dark, but to me, the one ref image of Fett from ESB shows his boots as pretty dark gray/nearly black. Still, I look forward any feedback.
