I heard that MoW boots run large. Does anyone know if that is true? And if so what MoW size you'd need for a normal size 10?
Thanks!

I got a 9.5, and it fits fine. That's the smallest he goes, I would recommend a 10.5-11.
And if it ends up too big, it's better than being too small.

Does anyone have any boots for sale - and other than Man of War - are there any other maunfacturers? I've sent Chris an email to ask if he's doing another run soon. Cheers

Hey Guys,

I need to explain the size issue.

I've done three boots runs so far and a forth one coming soon. When I did the first run a few years ago there was some confusion on my part with my manufacturer on the size specifications:confused I didn't specify to them I wanted US sizes only..so as a result they were all made to UK specifications without my knowledge. The first run of boots may have been marked say size 12 but were in fact size 11.5:eek: This is because UK sizes run a half size smaller than US sizes. So if a US customer purchased a size 12 boot they received a 11 1/2 instead even though the boots were marked size 12.. Do you follow? :p So of course I began getting complaints of boots being too small:(

The second and third runs the problem was corrected. The boots were properly made and marked to US specifications. If a boot was marked size 12..it was a size 12 boot(y)

As time went on collectors began selling their old boots for the newer run of boots. The first run with the odd sizes got mixed in and you have the problem showing up again from time to time. In some posts there was mention that the boots ran small but in fact is was just the first run that ran small. There was nothing I could do at this point. I've got this first batch of bad apples running around the world causing problems:p

The forth run will be available sometime in the New Year and they will be to US specs but I would recommend getting a half size larger for comfort sake as with any pair of boots.

I apologize for any inconvenience some of you have experienced.

I'm always interested in hearing from you and how I can offer a better quality product.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your continued support.

Best,
Christian

Christian, any way you could do a size 13 in the next run? If so I will 100% order a pair. I need boots but I'm worried about sizing, and thanks for clearing up the sizing questions. I'm sure now everyone understands the issues that were creeping up when they would pop up in the cargo hold.

Hmm, so it's the Brits fault (y) Anyway I'll be interested in a pair when your next run begins for sure. I wear a 12 so will a 12.5 be available?

Thanks

Another problem on boot sizes might be that there are wide and regular boot sizes. Some people will know this but im sure some people do not. I wear a 12 regular boot for my job but an 11.5 wide is also comfortable. You can figure out if you have a wide or regular boot fit at any shoe store that has the measuring tool. Im sure that the MoW boots are all regular and not wide so some people that say they are a 12 and their MoW 12 boots are tight might be a 12 Wide. (used size 12 for reference only, applies to all boot sizes).

I ordered some boots from propstudiogabe on eBay because Christian is sold out for the next couple of months. I'll let you know if they pan out or not when I get them. If not I'll wait for Christian to get more in.

Let me know how you go mate, I emailed Gabe and he says he has sold a few hundred. I am looking at taking this avenue as well since Christian is sold out. MoW has always been good with delivery times so will be getting his gauntlets.

I just received an update from MOW and he said that at the moment he is out of his current run....if anyone sees a size 10.5-11 for sale used, let me know.
