Well done, it looks great!
Well done, it looks great!
looking a little more symetrical but very untidy (putty all over it). I also installed the curved plate behind the rocket housing.
That is turning out absolutely wonderful :) Did you start the rocket yet?
i remember when mine looked like that. sure is getting there. nice work
I have finally gotten of my backside and done some more on this kiddie. Its still very rough around the edges and needs a lot of sanding (and a bit more filling). I am currently working on the fuel cell caps (thanks WoF for the templates :) ).
anyway here it is.......
WOW!! Great job Jon!
smooth that thing out and you'll have one of the best scratches here
Hey Quinn :cheers
it is almost done now. I was just waiting to get a good coat of primer on it before i posted more pics. There is only one thing i don't like on it though and that is the diameter of the fuel cells (they are too narrow). This in turn has made the cell caps look too tall (you will see in the next load of pics).
Well just bought some 2 inch wooden balls for my thrusters. I will post pics ASAP as i want ot have them finished by the weekend.
Great Jet Pack :)
:eek Whoa! That is an insanely good scratchbuild!!! Kudos to you!
I really let the dust build up on my scratchbuild 2.0 for the jet pack. I wanted to mold it up so i can make a sturdy reproduction and have a hollow inside for goodies and stuff. School must have gotten in the way and I put it off :facepalm .
Yours is definately looking kit worthy. Dunno if you have the resources but this turned out very nice
Its ok but the fuel cells are too narrow (should be approx 64mm in diameter and mine are only about 54mm wide). Still it will do as version 1. When i eventually finish it, I might think about upgrading the fuel cells to the correct width, then if i can figure out a feasible way to do it, i might cast it. Just got to get this bl00dy bucket finished first (it will be molded again next month).
thanks for all the really kind comments though guys, i feel kinda humbled as i know there are far better scratch built JP's out there.
Awsome jet pack mate!:thumbsup :thumbsup look spot on!
I decided before i got any further with this bad boy that i would correct the fuel cells. The old one were far too narrow and thanks to Mandalore697 (Dan) i managed to get the correct size tubing. See what you all think.
There is a before photo and two modified.
That looks awesome mate, and a lot better too. I'm looking forward to seeing mine all completed now!
That looks GREAT Jon. Congrats :)
Cheers guys. those comments mean a lot to me :)
once again, thanks Dan for the tubing. You are a star mate :cheers
