Left Gauntlet Rocket...Rubber?

postmortem01

Active Hunter
I bought 2 sets of gauntlets and neither are very good so I started making my own. Here is the rocket out of the mold. It is made of elastomer (rubber) with a 1/4" solid fiberglass rod cast in the middle. You will be hard pressed to break this sucker.

The guantlets should be done in a week or so. Kind of buried with work. They'll be very clean and will fit together well. You'll see......you'll see.

very nice rocket btw, a few things though... would you be able to post pics of the gauntlets, i got a kit and having a difficult time finding what needs to be cut... everyone already has theres past this point.. so iam a little lost, another was how much would it cost to make one of them rockets? it looks very nice... better then the resin one i got.

Not sure how adaptable your molds are, but here is an observation. The very tip of the missle should not come to a point, put rather have a "tip" coming out of it.

RECASTER ALERT!!!! RECASTER ALERT!!!!!!
That Missile is the same exact one that I have. It's even made of rubber!

Wait, isn't this Clonetroopers.net? Or the RPF?

No?
Oh then I stand corrected.
John was nice enough to pour me one since I was in the same boat .

Unfortunately , I am not as far along on my gauntlets.

@slave 1 pilot: the missile looks good but the gauntlet shell looks...well..rounded rather than sharp, isnt the detail supposed to be a bit sharper.

You are absolutely correct.
That's one reason they still are not complete.
I will probably just build these, sell them off, & get something better.
