Leather Ammo Belt Interest for January/Febuaray

Hey guys, well I know its still abit aways but theres a reason why I'm asking way ahead of time. Most of you have seen my latest verison of the belts where they have the folded edges. I use a extremely lightwieght leather that allows the leather to fold nicely. This leather came into Tandy as an odd lot in big scrap pieces and was sold by the pound. Every store got one box only and I bought up the box but its now all gone. I called Tandy corp to find out how I can get some more. I found out I can get it again but only if I order a min of 500 lbs. I don't mind buying up that much at $3 a pound. But I just wanted to see if there was going to be any interest at all next year by Feb. That way I can go ahead and place an order and get some before then to have it ready. I've had some guys pm me over the last few weeks about belts but I have no belt leather left. Just wanted to ask. Thanks guys.

I work in a leather shop. It's probably cheaper for you to get a 25 sq. ft. hide for about $150 from Tandy. You want a hide in the 8-10 ounce range.

No its really not. 8-10 is wayyy to thick. I use to work for tandy. A 25 sft hide might only get me 4 belts total. I need the stuff thats a 1 ounce. But I know what your talking about.

Am up for one of them bad boys! come the new year when am payed oh yea!

Exactly. I was able to scrounge the 1-1.5oz bins to get enough to do enough pouches and covers for a few belts. It's a shame I can't find a couple pieces in that weight that measure 5"x45" for the belt sections.

what is the price on one of them there ROTJ belt, if you don't mind me asking??

Hey guys I've updated the list, there seems to be some interest so I'm ordering the leather I need. It will take few weeks to get here so it looks like we will be on for the last week of January or first week of February.

Note* When I start collecting payments you will need to enter your actual waist size in your comments along with your TDH name. Also when I mean waist size I mean the area where you will be wearing the belt at. I will be adding the extra length for overlap.

There will be a new thread, I will send a pm to those who have asked. As for the price, I'm holding the old price. Even though leather prices have increased abit I'm gonna hold it at the old price, and as long as the post office doesn't increase prices anytime soon it will stay the same. The price is $150 shipped for folks in the US. $165 for most outside countries, but Australia will run $180 shipped. I don't know why its more compared to the other countries I've shipped to but it happened to me twice where I paid alot more than expected.
