I read that the suits are thicker than SGB's. What weight fabric, where can I get some? What do I ask for when I got to a fabric store? Thanks for the info.

You should look for a 100% cotton twill material. It should have the feel of a pair of pants, for example, like Dickies work pants.

It is not always easy to find the combination of the right color and the right fabric.
If it is 100% cotton, you can dye it to the color you would like.

I just purchased our next bolt of fabric and it will not be quite as heavy.
There are benefits and drawbacks to either light or heavy fabric.

Heavy fabric, is much hotter to troop in, but may last longer. Heavier fabric is cool and more comfortable for trooping, but may not last as long.

It is really a matter of opinion. But everyone stays with cotton because it is screen accurate, easy to dye if needed and it breathes, it is much more comfortable.

Thanks for the info. :cheers My current suit is a set of olive drab Army surplus mechanics coveralls with pouches added. :( Not exactly ideal, but it served the purpose. I know my costume is pitiful compared to some, but I'm still at it.:D Almost three years now and counting. :)

I'm in the never-ending process of upgrading here and there. Gauntlets and jumpsuit are items #1 & #2 for the foreseeable future.

Just got my flightsuit today....all I can say is "wow"! This thing fits me perfectly, and looks great. Really top-notch work - thanks Debbi and Carole!

Wish I had more costume parts assembled to show off with my suit, but here are a couple of shots from my "test fitting".

These are my very first pics of what will eventually be my ESB Fett :)

NO worries we made 2 suits though one lightweight one for the guys trooping in the hotter climates and one heavy suit made of twill. So some were lighter than others it depended on the buyers preference.

Suits look great ladies! :cheers
