Hey guys just want to keep you all updated. The harnesses are almost fully done, I'm just waiting on the webbing strap I ordered to come in, as well as the square rings. I should be done with all the harnesses on the current list by this weekend.

How do the sizes work? I want to order, but I am not sure what size to choose. Can you help me out?

I got them from Strapworks; good prices and they ship fast.

That where I order the straps from, but I'm getting the rectangular rings from Ohio Travel Bag, cheaper and stronger.

Two questions please:
1. How do you adjust the straps around the chest and/or the ones over the shoulder?

Hey Mandalor,

Well to answer your first question, the way is adjusts and holds is with 2 belt loops or keepers. They get attached on your left and right sides where the 2 ends end up. The keepers hold them tight where they are and do not allow the chest strap to come undone. As for the shoulders it is a length determined by your t-shirt size. The straps should come down front to about your sternum.

The second answer is yes, its personal preference but just so you know, after tiring on the harness many times, you don't feel them at all.

Update* 08/06/08 - I got word that the straps will be in tomorrow so everything goes back into production tomorrow. Should have the first 5 harnesses shipped out by Saturday. Thanks guys.

What the heck! ... ok guys theres going to be a 24 hour delay on finishing the harnesses. As I mentioned before, I ordered the nylon webbing from strapworks. A few days ago I got the package in and it was not webbing, it was plastic buckles. So I called them up and paid to have it sent back. Today was a mess, the postman didn't leave my package at the door, since it had to be signed for. I ran to the post office to pick it up, where they did not have it yet. So I had to wait a few hours, after a few hours they said that they would wait for the guy to come back and then have someone bring it back to me today. They just got here and I got the webbing....ONLY ITS IN BLACK!!! So here I go again calling up strapworks and they told me that they are sorry....AGAIN....and they would resend it out and I should get it by tomorrow. But they wanted me to pay to have the black sent back...after complaining they saud never mind and dont want the black back. So no I will have to wait till tomorrow to finish up the first five or six harnesses. Jeeze this has been a bad week...

If you ever plan to do another run of these in the future please let me know, my current harness is made of gorilla tape and an old backpack. I am interested in size medium. They look fantastic!

Update....I was able to get some packages out the door today. Everything went out with priority mail. On a quick note. I'm not sure what the big difference is or if there as been a dramatic change again in shipping costs over seas, but I badly est the shipping for overseas. I'm just taking the previous orders as a learning thing but shipping cost has been updated for future orders.

Ok I just received Taco's harness..............................wow . The leather is extremely soft and flexible. When I had it on I could hardly even feel it. I can't imagine it being anymore comfortable. I have never had a harness, but I think I lucked out here. Awesome product Taco. If anyone is waiting around don't. It is a simple design with unbelievable results.

Just a FYI, all remaining harnesses are being shipped out on Saturday!! Rings are back in stock and have been shipped out UPS today and should be here by Friday, if the UPS truck comes early I will get them shipped out on Friday afternoon.

For those of you who have trooped with this harness: Any issues with the leather slipping and the harness riding up your torso? Any issues with the weight of the jet pack loosening the velcro on the shoulder straps? How have you hooked the jet pack to the rings? Thanks.

Shocknurse, as for the attacking the Jp to the rings, Madmartigan is doing an order for some JP hooks that are close if not spot on to the ones used in the film. Check it out with him. As for the other issues, I am still waiting for mine and hope it works out.

Hey I just got mine in today!! I think the slipping of the shoulder straps as mentioned earlier would be resolved when the vest is on. Can't wait to troop in the setup!!
