    so i have the parts for my helmet printing away slowly i started on a jet pack build :O

    Any comments or tips are more than welcome and im sure i will be asking for advice along the way.

    Just got my self a heated knife to help with the job and this will probably turn into a full build thread as i am on the last few parts of the helmet print.

    They are just cardboard postage cylinders I had to cut down the 2 thinner ones to get the right circumference.

    So how did you get it so that there is no "point" in the circle? ...like a teardrop

    The jetpack is really coming along!

    What did you make the thruster cone parts from? Just curious

    I 3d printed the thruster and very happy with how it came out. i am also going to try and print the rocket

    Nice! I guessed as much. To smooth my 3D prints I use a product from Smooth-On called XTC-3D which is really quite excellent. You may want to check it out.

    It looks great! The rocket/grappling has the whole body or did you cut it to fit into the collar?
    @crimotaku: JezzaFett used models from my Shapeways Shop. If you have a 3D printer, you can download all my models for free (if you have an account, if not, make one for free); also you can use Shapeways' services to print any model in the materials made available.

    Thanks Man

    I had to upscale by 2 or 3% to fit the tube i was using but Netfabb makes that easy.
