    Jeremy's NEW Shin Tools

    Hi everyone

I've been asked to build and paint a set of shin tools for the 'Dressing the Real Fett' thread
    http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f22/official-jeremy-bulloch-project-dressing-real-fett-23257/.
Of course I was over the moon to be asked to help out with this . I decided to go the extra mile and make the largest tool flexible, just like the original 'Paterson' Squeegee.

I bought a 'Paterson' squeegee then sculpted the shin tool, making sure I kept the two halves separate. i then made moulds of these two pieces and made polyurethane resin copies, they turned really well. Below are the pictures showing the basic idea.

It will be possible to make these tools, I just need to find a supplier for the compression springs. The ones on this set (Jeremy's) are the ones that were inside the original squeegee. I've found a couple of possible springs but so far they aren't quite right.... the hunt continues.

Daz, that's cool and all, but I got to ask.

Why not just use a the real Paterson squeegee to make the tool?

Why make a copy when the originals are still in production?
    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc..._Squeegee.html

    Cheaper?

The replica does look extremely nice though.

    Re: Jeremy's NEW Shin Tools

All the ESB shots I've seen show the anti-security blade sitting quite low in the pocket so there's no way to tell if the stripe is present or not. The visual dictionary does have a couple of these tools, with and without the stripe.

Do you have a shot from ESB of the anti-security blade more visible? It's not too late or too difficult for me to remove the stripe

Is it the stitching in the Jumpsuit shin pockets that squeezes the squeegee at the bottom creating the taper at the top, or was it molded/glued that way?

It's hard to see in ref photos, but 'sonic beam weapon' defiantly looks angled.

man you' re amazing. Somehow you' re able to take the original stuf... then make copies or replica's that look as cool as the original... only more... solid... your stuff looks like it comes from the " Boba Fett 1:1 factory" rather the a scratch build movie costume...

    it's stunning...

congrats DAZ, you did it again!!
