Thanks for the tutorial on the knees. So much great information, so little money to buy armor.

I *think* it's a decal... but with all the weathering, Alex may have decided to enhance the Skull by hand but also with a slightly darker 'blood' red...?

    DM,

Jason, That's the best looking ESB armor and paint scheme I've ever seen. Your a master!

Wow, hadn't seen the latest updates here for a while.
Excellent info on installing the darts, and that shoulder bell looks amazing! The tiny contrasting yellow chips are a subtle detail I've added to mine as well. They're small, but they add a lot to the overall appearance of the bells.
    Looking fantastic!

Re: JB project / FP V3 armor

    Shoulders are done!!!!!

Again I want to give ALL the PRAISE on these bad boys to Spideyfett!!

just so we are all clear...I did the primer, base silver, masked off all scratches and then did the base colors and some light misting.

The Detailed weathering was done by my good buddy Spideyfett on the shoulders

he is the MASTER ESB painter so I had to let him teach me his secrets!!

    anyway...enjoy

Tomorrow I will get some pics in the sunlight!!

    Hi all
This is my first post even though I’ve been a member for a while now, I’m huge fan of all your work on JB’s costume and all the info has been a great help to me with my costume project.
Regarding the debate on the red stud.., having taken some capture shots off the ESB film, of Boba Fett in Slave 1 following the Falcon, the stud definitely appears to be red in colour.
Check out this capture shot and decide for yourselves……. I hope this is of some help, I look forward to seeing the costume completed and I think Jeremy Bulloch will be blown away !!

This may have already been covered but could you share the dimensions of the openings you made for the chest lights? I know that they are made based on the design of the lights themselves but I was curious what you did. Also, is it known what the "movie accurate" dimensions are?

Re: JB project / FP V3 armor

The chest light opening was 'pre-determined' based on BB's and Shackman's research (I believe).

FP added the openings to the mold, so all I had to do was trim the marked areas. I used an X-Acto knife with a new blade to score the rear of the openings until I could punch through all the way. After that, I used hobby files to square the corners, and followed up with an Emery board to complete the inside sanding.

As for the dimensions of the movie costume, someone else will have to chime in...
