Its been a while, I have questions.

Ok, so I used to be on here quite a bit but now it seems some things have changed. If there is any way I can get some information PM'd to me about who I can contact about buying all the gear from. I have no skills with painting and need my Fett as accurate as possible. If anybody could shoot me a parts list and what I need to obtain and where I can obtain them as I tried Fettdad for a piece and he does not receive messages anymore. I need help, thanks.

Ah nice, I was looking for a list such as this as well.

I have been wanting to begin a fett suit for years now but have held off due to financials and having no time in my life. Though that situation hasn't really improved I want to begin the process regardless... I've been waiting too long already. ^_^

I have no experience in plastic molding or painting beyond building models cars as a kid (quite some time ago now!), but want to try and be as econimical as possible. But in the end would want an accurate suit of armor over anything, so will pay and take the time needed.

Out of curiosity what is the approximate total cost of a full on ready to wear, painted suit anyway? Looking at getting the majority of parts for an ESB build from boba maker (mostly unpainted I believe) is around $2500-$3000 as it is. And then hope I could pull off the painting myself... which I would surely attempt to the best of my ability and what I can learn.

If one wanted to practice the painting required to make an accurate set of Fett armor, what would be the ideal material to practice on? Anything really? Just sheets of whatever say bobamaker fabricates the armor from? Does molding itself change the surface in a way that paint adhesion would differ?

What is the best way to ensure one could handle painting of the actual armor without messing with the good stuff?

You all are amazing btw, this site has just been blowing my mind!

If you want to practice painting armor I would suggest downloading the wizardofflight armor templates and cutting them out of a trash can. Then you can practice away to your hearts content. The bobamaker stuff is fiberglass I think, so if you get good painting on plastic trash can armor the fiberglass will be a nice treat.

Yeah, Bobamaker's items are fiberglass, and they come trimmer, and primered, ready for paint. They are 100% top knotch work, and worth every penny, and then some...
Fiberglass is easy to paint, as it accepts nearly every paint available. Plastic armours can be tricky, and you need to be sure that your primer adheres well on the plastic, or you risk the paint peeling off.

Fiberglass, as it's name says, contains glass, which is derived from stone, so it will be more heavier than most plastics.

Bobamaker also offers painting service, byt the price is what it is. As with his work, the paintjob is first rate, and complicated. If you are in a budjet, take the download instructions, and make yourself armour from thrashcans as adviced, and practice on those.

If you want everything made to wear, and accurate, please remember the rule of three. Quality, Time, and Price. Two you can have, but not all three...

I am on the way with Quality and Price. Time, is the factor that has to go... Fortunately, I am not in a hurry to get my Fett in line...

Fettpride, Bobamaker, BobbyFettUK, Dark-Side, LadySewforUs, BooBooFett, Stormrider, Mojo-Fett,...

I would seriously read up on the vendors mentioned above (or any vendor)before you spend any of your money.
You'll want to read more than just their feedback profile, you'll also want to see what is posted about them and also what they post in response.
Do yourself a huge favor and do your homework, all that glistens is not gold.

As mentioned, do homework- MoW on ebay has some good gauntlets and a great jetpack, as well as other items, there are many great Fett suppliers, bottom line is that there is no one stop shop for everything. A little here, and a litte there- depending on your budget and personal preference, but in the end- there is no one place to purchase "all" of your Fett gear from, if you want a truly great Fett. But the TDH is a great place to start and an awesome resource to use on your quest. Good hunting!!!
