well the more people we get than mabie the less it will cost cause of the bulk order. who knows... i need the webley first to show the guy so i can get an estimate.

i plan to have all the steel on the webley copied forsure D Bracket & all. ide like to have stocks for them but have no clue where to have them made. anyone know who made the HS Stocks?

I believe it was RPF Member Chrima that made the HS stocks. He made the one for my webley last year and its amazing!

I'd be in for one depending on price.

ok well the webley should be here within the next few days. then the hunt is on for some metal forges

Hmm.... they are 3072px × 2304px on mine, making them extend far off the side of my screen.

they were normal size on my screen...and gorgeous! Hopefully we find a metal guy soon.

Just wanted to chime in to say that this is one awesome project and that, that Webley is in the finest condition of any that I've ever seen!

well my wallet is shure thinking that as well. hehe. oww but it went to a real good thing

Update: well it looks like right now these will be switching to being bronze as so far steel seems to be much too expensive. theres one moe thing i gotta check though so its not 100% yet
are you guys still interested if they are bronze instead of steel?

it seems that with carbon steel they need to make a metal mold . thats where steel gets really expencive as molds them selves can cost thousands of $$$$$$$$$. and i just cant put my self in a position like that, but theres another meathod called sand casting i gotta look into before i rule steel 100% out.

As Spidey put it, as long as it looks correct, I think bronze would be more than acceptable, I mean, look at it this way, is a rubber hyper-firm 100% accurate?

I remember doing a sand cast with metal like 15 years ago. It was a school art project. I dont remember what metal it was though. It was shiny. Can you paint bronze? Im still very excited about this project.

im pretty sure paint will holdon to bronze. The HS webleys ive seen looked like the paint accepted it fairly well

Just doing research for the time being as im currently very tight on cash. I also unfortunately havent been able to get intouch with Hand-Schaub and possibly get some info or even his help on the project. He was the fist to do this afew years back.

ya its a wall of text not sure whats gunna happen on the stocks yet. im keeping an eye on Lucky31's webley stock thread cause those look really nice.

i wouldnt have a problem doing something like that. shipping might be a little bit more because of packaging materials though
