Dude...sorry about the size discrepancy...I didn't know they were small......hopefully, you can use them and didn't waste your 2 bucks!

Lol no worries . . . good news though! It looked small but I just decided to go ahead and start cutting and gluing and it turns out that it's almost perfect! So good deal!

here's a pic (excuse the quality, I took it with my phone.):

I'm thinking I'm going to kinda of turn this into something along the lines of a DL-44 and put a magazine and trigger guard on it. I'm undecided about some type of scope.

Styles...that looks sweet, dude...here's my Zapper (it now has a trigger guard added)....

I used a PVC hose barb on mine...

Ghost, your stuff always looks awesome.

I went ahead and cut up one of my 30 round magazines . . . check it out:

So what do you think . . . scope or no scope? I don't want people to think I'm making a blatant rip off of the DL-44 but it would probably look pretty decent.

My custom mando will be carrying two of these . . . I can't wait to get this done!

Styles...thanks for the compliment......and I would say "yes" on the scope; I think it would add balance to the top of the pistol.

    Lookin good Styles...
Glad those recorders worked and temporarily attach the scope and see if you like it...

Yeah . . . I think I'm gonna shoot for a custom built scope . . . no need to stop being custom now! I'm going to swing by and pick up some parts to build one out of pvc so I'll post some pics of it later.

Yeah...my scope is from a Nerf Wookie Bowcaster...nothing like cannibalizing an old Star Wars toy to make a new one!

Definitely a scope on that puppy. Looks good.

Ok, here is the mockup. At this point, I think I'm gonna go without the trigger guard . . . we'll see.

Tell me what you guys think. I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna church up the scope a little too . . . probably just but a couple steel nipples/caps on one side to simulate knobs or something.

    Re: How were these made?

I don't know how feasible this is but I'd go with shorter magazines. There are two reasons for my suggesting this: First, you'll have a hard time making holsters for them if they mag is too large. I had a similar problem with making a holster for my E-11c "snubbie". And secondly, a pistol would have a smaller magazine/energy charge then a rifle.

    Looks great Styles...
I agree with OR (Jo) if you plan to house this bad boy in a holster then the mag may cause you some issues? just my 2p
Did you use more of those recorders for the sight end piece?

    Re: How were these made?

Yeah, the recorders came in a pack of 2. And Orthar, just a heads up, that's MUCH smaller than a rifle mag but yeah, I definitely see there being a problem with a holster.

Now, as far as the scope goes . . . I need a better method of attaching it, one that's more aesthetically pleasing. Do you guys have any ideas?

    Re: How were these made?

Would it not be better fitted 'on top' of the blaster? I mean if you were using it and (If right handed) you would be peering to the far side of the weapon? just a thought?

    Re: How were these made?

I'm open to anything . . . I was pretty much just going for a star wars'ish feel from like the DL-44 and the pistol that look carried in ESB.

You think it would look better on top? Either way, do you have any ideas for an attractive way to mount it or would the small pieces of PVC be sufficient?

    Re: How were these made?

Well . . . after cutting the mag down it will be MUCH easier to deal with a holster now. However, I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna go without the scope on top, I like the low profile of the original blasters which was my goal . . . and now that the mag is smaller, I don't need something on top to even out the blaster. I guess it's time to start sanding, bondo'ing, sanding, bondo'ing, sanding, priming, sanding, painting!

I'll post some more pics later.
