How is the Girth belt attatched in the back

Like the title says.

With tack buckles.

I've seen several versions used, but the MoM pics show a two 1" black web straps connecting the two sides.

I took a Dremel and cut off both prongs on one side, and sewed the web straps around the buckle bar. I took a soldering iron and 'punched' holes into the webbing (like a lightsaber, it cauterizes as it burns!) for connection to the belt prongs on the other side.

That's similar to my set-up, only I didn't want to get **** on my soldering iron...

real deal looks like strap material instead of leather belts...
