Shin Tools How far up to place shin pouch??

I'm not sure if this is correct or not but where I place the shin pockets depends on the inseam (leg) length. If it is 28"-29.5" I put the bottom of the pocket 5.5" from the bottom of the pant, 30"-32"=6", 32.5"-34"=6.5" and over 34"= 7". Hope this helps
