How does one figure out which shelter half is right for ROTJ cape?

So I've been trying to find the correct cape for my ROTJ build. I already had two but neither have the correct stitching. I've been searching on eBay and some other military surplus sites but can only find generic or unhelpful pictures. Is there a sort of method or is it just a sort of keep checking and maybe you'll get lucky scenario?

here is a pic of it from TK409

You should be able to look a the stitching and rivet hole and line it up to the correct corner of the half shelter.

Yeah, it won't come out perfectly the same way as the TK409 template... but close enough will do the trick. The real selling point of the shelter half is the material itself. Even if it isn't EXACTLY perfect, it will look the part and be everything you want it to be.

Very true, I guess I'm over thinking it a bit. Might as well use a shelter half I have as a place holder until I come across one with the correct stitching, it is after all made of the same material as you said.

I've been selling capes for years and done well into the 100's and in that time I've come across 6 with the screen accurate seams. All will have the bottom accurate seam so I've always folded and sewn the top seam myself. Pm me if you're interested.

Yes, Woodman nailed it exactly. I bought two, thinking I screwed up the first one... and neither were the correct way. His capes are pretty damn epic, and correct... I highly recommend his work.
