I velcro the holster to my flightsuit - it takes the weight off the belt and has the added advantage of stopping the blasted thing from swinging about as I walk. I have also strengthened the belt at the attachment point with a piece of rigid plasticard - this stops the belt from collapsing at that point. The plasticard is velcoed to the belt and holster loop, and holds the holster loop slightly proud of the belt so that the weight is taken by the velcro, not by the belt.
