Hoses

Just wondering if anyone ever found a very flexible hose for the gauntlets? I thought I remember someone providing a link to one.

I currently use the Home Depot braided hose.

I got some at an industrial hydraulic supply house. It seems more flexible than the HD product. But, I haven't installed it yet.

I thought I had seen someone here awhile ago mentioning they found something that was much more flexible. Maybe I'm wrong I don't know

I use air tools at work, and some of the more modern air hoses are very flexible. Problem is they are translucent blue or yellow etc., with the reinforcement webbing. If I come across white/clear I'll get one and sell sections to others, as I only need one length for my ESB costume. What is a good length for these sections?

I got mine from flexpvc.com.
5/16 inch ID braided hose
I wouldn't say it's flexible but definitely works, and it was shipped quickly.
I needed three sections for my ROTJ. Total length was roughly three feet depending on how you attached it.

Did you previously have the HD or Lowes ones to compare?

I didn't. I went to lowes but they didn't have the right ones. I didn't make it to Home Depot either. Putting together my Fett was a lesson in patience so I figured waiting a couple more days to get the hoses wouldn't be a problem.

Amazon has some that works but it has the info stamped on it and no matter what I used I could not get that off. Found some faucet spray hose that may work and it does not have the size/pressure stamping on it.

Is something like a big surgical tubing allowed? Cause that stuff is flexible.

They aren't braided. It comes down to wall thickness for flexibility. I just ordered a set with smaller wall thickness from the link provided earlier. Gonna try the 3/8" inside and 1/2" outside.

There is a really good plastic supply store close to my house and they have a whole section of wall devoted to hoses. I can go take a look and if I come up with something good I will grab some for everyone.
