Help needed. Please! / U.K. Fetts/ Tackle Twill

Okay not the snappiest title to a thread but it gets to the point.
So with out further ado. Here's my question.

I've been looking around as well as phoning fabric suppliers, Mill shops and basically everywhere else that deals with selling fabric to the public and NOWHERE have I come across anyone in the trade that knows what Tackle Twill is. Twill yes but this stuff is thick and generally used for overcoats.
So is there an alternate name for Tackle Twill in the U.K. and if anyone knows could they please tell me as I'm slowly going out of my mind.

It is a polyester twill. It is primarily used for the making of the "letters" for letterman jackets.

Thanks LadySewforus. I always have to try and explain what this stuff is when I enquire but to no avail. Split between two countries is a pain when it comes to getting stuff which is why I hadn't expressed intrest in Loanstar's thread. Plus there's a time constraint too. I'll keep looking. Come on folk. You U.K. Fetts must be getting your fabric from somewhere, unless you're buying your flak vests ready made.
