Hey guys, I just made another Bobamaker purchase. I will now have a helmet and collar peice ROTJ. He's painting em'. Anywho, Is the cape connected to the collar peice or back peice. I hope collar, cuz then I'd have a cool display if the cape was on it. Get back to me soon guys! Pictures always help!!

If I'm not mistaken, I think the cape is kind of sandwiched between the collar piece and the backplate.

Btw, what part of NC are you from?

Collar and backplate are connected via the painted four "studs". On the outer left hand one, the stud holds the cape to the collar, overlapping the backplate:

Stud
Cape
Collar
Backplate

I used Bobamaker resin replicas painted silver, dremeled out a hollow and set a chicago screw base in side. The other part of the screw is duct taped to the inside of my backplate so it stays put, and after I put the parts together I can simply screw my stud down onto it. Make sense?

I kind of get what your saying, but i'm not familliar with what a chicago screw looks like. But since the peice will arive to me finished, I'll be pretty iffy on drilling holes in it anyway. But I suppose I'll do what must be done.

But just to be sure I get it, tell me if this is right: The outer left stud holds the cape to the collar, and the collar to the back plate. If thats true, thats ALOT of stress on just one stud.

Even if I don't use the level of craftsmanship as the rest of you guys, I'll be sure to atleast ghetto rig it to work.

But it will be some time before i'll have all the peices I need to assemble that display anyway. All I need to know is that I will have enough peces to put a cape on display.

Thanks guys

-Tom
