    You've got top notch gear!

I would use the metal rocket depending on the weight. The metal just gives a sense of realism... but a well painted resin rocket is lighweight and just as effective.

I am starting to wonder if I bit more than I can chew with this one... This paint looks very hard to do... and no good "Definitive" thread exists on what paint colors to paint. Add in that I have to use Tamiya paints and not Testors...

    Sigh...

Nathan, I am with you on the paint. Let me know if you find any good Tamiya paints.
  11. Jul 5, 2010, 2:47 AM - Re: It has Begun! 9135's ESB build... #36

Looks great so far Nate! Dont beat yourself up over the paint! there is a thread here that is pinned that tells you all the paint colors, i would use those for the helmet only due to the price. I painted all of my armor with rustoleum spruce green, misted with rustoleum hunt club green and flat black. i just mixed a few Testors paints to get the yellow around the dents. For the shoulders i used Krylon signal yellow, and misted the right shoulder with testors go mango orange, and then again with the yellow till i got the right tone. Same for the knees. The helmet is the only part i would definately go with the Floquil or tamaya paints. i dont think anything else would match right. If you can afford enough for the rest of the suit,by all means, do it,but i didnt for the rest of the armor and still get compliments constantly!

LONG time no update. Fett will be done this year for halloween. I was asked to judge a contest worth 10G to the winner. Fett will be there.

Look what has happened to my helmet!

MANY Thanks to WelshWarrior for an awesome paint up. Hope to work with him again!

Boba has been one costume I never thought I would do. The paint is harder than anything I have ever tried to tackle, the build is expensive, the wear of it is foreign to me... among other things...

But here I go. 2 Face costumes... First Vader now Boba. Both ESB, so it should be impressive together.
My Vader. These will be a blast to troop in at the same time.

All I have left is the boots, shin tools and toe-spikes. I may spend some coin on braids, but I may just make them myself as well.

Here is the parts list so far. I like things accurate and made to wear.

I want to publicly thank Fettpride. Making this happen has been so easy, and your advice has been outstanding on this endevor. This is by far the coolest deal I have ever made in costuming. A True Win Win situation.
You are one of the most honest I have ever ran across in this obsession I call a hobby. Your work speaks volumes.

So now... I wait on boxes to start arriving. Then on to paint, build and wear. Whoo Hoo!

    Hey Grenater,

Do you realize that you are necro-posting a lot of stuff and it is usually frowned on? I know it can happen more easily when you are using your phone, but you may want to double check to see if threads are more than a year old before you post on them again.
