Has anyone tried this with RIT dyes? It's supposed to stop the bleeding on fabrics dyed with RIT or similar dyes.

I have used it in the passed Gene and I can honestly say that it works quite well. the problem is getting the actual dye to work

Hey, if you're dyeing cotton fabric, I highly recommend Procion dyes instead of RIT. I'm having medium to great success dyeing brown Jedi stuff with it. There is a dye fixative for Procion that works well, along with a final wash in Synthrapol (industrial-level detergent).

You can get this stuff at reasonable prices at www.dharmatrading.com.

it's not cotton though bro, it's like some synthetic wool blend or something? if you use Rit, it turns out pink. the best solution that came up thanks to Whistlemp8 (mike) is a Satin latex stain (paint) works really well but super messy.

Thanks for the advice Deunan, but I'm afraid that Synthrapol has been discontinued and Retayne is the product that took it's place. And yes I found Synthrapol at Dharma Trading and they are ones who developed Retayne after Synthrapol was discontinued. I'll check into Procion at Dharma Trading though.
