Has anyone tried this idea for Wookie braids/scalps?
I saw these at Wal-Mart yesterday and thought I could use them for Wooike braids. They are pot swings/hangers and come in various different sizes, colors, and braids. They can be found in the gardening section. I took them home and started messing with them and I think they look great!
The best part, they cost $1.97!
They can be easily dyed or painted. Once you undue the knots you can get about 10 - 12 feet of the material. I made several braids last night in a few different colors.
If you are on a budget, this may be the answer to inexpensive Wookie braids!
Here is how one looks on my mannequin.

I found a 3' lock of black synthetic hair at a Sally store for $.99! Now I just need to find the two blonde colors I need. Nice find, though.
