Harness and Buckle Colors

New Hunter
I've been searching this for a while and haven't found the answer. Ill be buying a Jetpack harness soon and was wanting to know about the coloration on the scuba harness and the buckle. I am currently making a ROTJ SE suit and I came accross this. I know its from the original ROTJ costume but can't seem to find any pics of the harness in the "SE" section of the pictures.

It appears that it was once painted a tan color or khaki and just eventually got worn out. Is this really painted that tan color or is it just the lighting or something else? Also, is it this way on the SE suit?

And the scuba buckle: On some pics it appears to be armor green (panzer green I think some use) or is it silver? Again, I couldn't find any on the SE costume so I'm not sure. I have also seen in some pictures its silver:

The harness in that shot looks like plain old dull mill finnish (2B) stainless steel to me. Many people think that stainless steel is a bright shiny material, but it cones in a range of finnishes.

The buckle can be seen with a painted finnish at times or even duck tape over the front tab. Its been said this was done to hide the "U.S. DIVERS" logo.
