Gold thrusters?? You must be crazy!

So. . .
Much like the decision to make my gunstock a natural wood grain, I have also decided to make the thrusters on my ROTJ jet pack gold. Yet another "artistic liberty" I'm taking to add a certain uniqueness to my Boba. I'll never get into the 501st with a costume like this but who really cares?? No offense to the 501st. Someday I'll send in my application when I have a completely film accurate costume, but that will have to wait.
I really want to make a Boba costume with a little more flare. I imagine if he had the money, this might be something he would do to pimp his ride a little more. I've even considered doing a complete overhaul on my armor to give it gold plating. I would still do the regular paint job on top of it, but everywhere that normally had silver showing through would then be gold.

Just a thought.

Subject now open for scrutiny.:)

I'm not sure if I like them or loathe them! :) At present they do remind me of chintzy bathroom fittings :) :) However with a bit of weathering up, along with the rest of the jet pack I have a feeling they may grow on me!

Well, if your going for shock value, you certainly got my attention .
if your going to do that, then why don't you just do a custom mando??

You could purchase another set of thrusters to paint the correct colours, that would fly with the 501st. With such a small change, I don't think many people would notice, even GMLs. Being a Boba GML, I would notice this, but many costumes seep through into membership that have one or two minor errors that are or aren't worth noting. I would say go forth with your 501st application and see what happens.
