Gloves Information

Whoah, thanks for the feedback, I didn't expect anyone to actually be amazed!

Basically I bought an extra labcoat for the sleeves and pockets, then used the pouch and pocket templates from TUBFC.

To dye it, I used RIT dye - 1 pouch Royal Blue, 1 pouch Pearl Grey, and 1/2 pouch black, and dyed it for about an hour.

To weather it, I simply used black and grey spraypaint, just lightling brushing in some spots, and more around the legs and such.

This was a suprisingly easy project for me, I don't do too much sewing but I had no trouble at all. The dying was easy as well, and it turned out very close to the colour I wanted.

Here is a shot of it with my costume on:

Good job on this one! I love it! :love:thumbsup:

Wow, if only I could find a correct base for my gloves I would not be forced to use black leather ones! *shame*

I couldn't make these to save my life. :) I wish I had some of the skill our fellow members have. No, I got them on Ebay. I belive the person I bought them from is a member. I don't think he made them though. Someone else told me they look like gloves that a different member makes.

Snake,
What kind of dummy/mannequin do you have there?
It's something like this one, but life size.

I like it,because its very poseable (even on the hands and feet) but im realizing that its gonna be a royal pain in the arse to dress him up,so i may sell it when i have all my pieces together and get me a regular mannequin.
This is how it looks now:

I saw a pair on ebay yesterday, but they're gone now. They show up on ebay now and then.

Find some long white gloves. Dye them the gray color. Then put white patches of cloth on correct spots. That is what I hear a lot of people do. Just look at some references to help out on the white cloth parts. Hope this helps.

After 7 days of hand stitching im done. What pain in the rear it was, but well worth it.I even spent my lunch hours & breaks at work trying to finish.I sewed my last stitch at 1am this morning.I know the left glove doesnt have the half padded area, but the way my guants are constructed it didnt look right. So I went with the full length.Just click the glove album.
