Girth belt sizing?

I found a local supplier of girth belts, however i don't know which size to get, i'm around a 34"inch waist but i'm thinking
i don't buy a size 34"inch from buckle end to buckle end. taking into consideration flight suit, cod and butt armor will add extra
dimension, plus the straps that secure around the rear witch i will be adding ,Would like to hear from you guys who are same waist size as me, and what size girth belt you got?

You are going to want a bit of a gap in the back between the buckles. Also if you buy a 34 inch girth from a Horse and tack place the actual length is going to be about 32. The reason for this is that the original design of the belt is to be used with a saddle. The other two inches would be taken up by the leather belt portion of the saddle.

If the belt measures 34 tip to tip, then it would probably be listed as a 36, and if your waist is a 34 it would probably work fine for you.

See the gap between the buckles in this pic. The nylon straps will give you some more length to make it around the clothes and armor.

So I say all of that to say a 34 should work.

if you call them they may have sizes that are not listed........I had to ask for the size I needed.

I plan to paint mine , recon the 30"/75cm dressage length would do because of the nylon straps.The dye often rubs off on the jumpsuit, so painting might be the way to go with that nylon type?

After reading some of the responses I'm realizing that my girth is too large. When I bought it, it kind of fit but due to my job (I'm a mailman) I have lost quite a bit of weight and unfortunately my waistline. My question is this: Is is possible to modify the length without ruining it? Or does it just make more sense to just buy a new one? In case the question is asked there is no gap between the buckles. Thanks for any info provided.

That's what I thought but I figured I'd ask the question anyway. Just so I'm on the right page I'm probably a 32-34 inch waist so what size do I ask for? 32 or 34? I'm going to go with the victory canter link from above and get the white and then dye it to the desired color.

This is the one I ordered in Natural, I have a 33" waist and ordered the 34 thinking that the armor and clothing layers will add enough to keep the buckles from touching.

I can mod it fairly easily if they touch.

Just FYI, with my 33" waist, the 34" buckles are about 3" apart.
