Girth Belt Size?

What size girth belts do you guys get? I know it would depend on the individual's size, but what size would you get, given the person's waist measurement, to get it to sit right plus with the addition of the leather straps between the buckles? Thanks. Any input is appreciated.

It will come out different for each person, but also take in to acount for the circumference of the cod and the rear plate as the girth belt overlaps these parts and not technically your actual waist mine came out at 90CM or 900MM around the cod and butt plate when they were connected together. that was end to end on the buckles, there is about 5 inches or so gap at the back with the elastic in it... but that is just me.

I made this mistake months ago, I made a girth belt and measured it to my actual waist at 32 inches, when I put the cod and butt plate on it had no chance of going over it...

so bassically measure around the cod and butt plate to get a good value!..(y)

One of the biggest things to remember when about buying a girth belt is what it is that you are buying. A girth belt is designed to attach to a saddle on a horse. Therefore the way they are sold is with that in mind. If you order a 34 inch girth belt it will measure about 31-32 actual inches buckle to buckle. The other length would be made up by the leather strap that is on the saddle. So if you are ordering from Victory Canter or Horseloverz then keep this in mind.

Also as has been stated this item goes around the cod and kidney armor so the actual distance around your body is much greater than your actual waist size.

???????????????????????????

Just to follow up on this, is the girth belt like the last part to order once your armor is wearable to get an accurate measurement?
