Girth Belt Help

That is a place, it isn't the only place. Horseloverz and Victory Canter are both good places to look also.

As far as the length, the actual length will be about 2 inches shorter than advertised. The original purpose of this is to attach to a saddle. The leather straps from the saddle provide the rest of the length. So a 34 inch belt should measure about 32 inches buckle to buckle. Also remember that you need a gap in the back of the belt to allow for the nylon straps. So order with the plan to add the black nylon strap and leave enough gap.

And btw my info for all of this came from a very helpful person at Victory Canter. They were very good at explaining everything to me so that I got the product I wanted.

I would think the 38 would work. That would give you the 36 actual length and then when you put it over the clothing and armor it should give you about the proper gap in the back.

And just for a bit of further info that I have learned. Make sure that you are measuring yourself at the right place. The girth belt will sits in a specific place on the body, not necessarily in the same place that we wear a belt. Just for instance. I have a 32 inch waist but if you measure a bit above the waist around the belly and love handles then I am bigger than 32 inches. Same goes for if you drop down below the waist and measure my hips.......

I still think you would be fine with a 38 inch girth but those are some things that people don't always think about while measuring themselves.
