girth belt buyer beware

i'm new here and i just recently started building my boba fett costume. One of the first things i ordered was a girthbelt from tackoutlet.com.
after 15 days and no package i got worried and called the 1-800 number which was instead a chatline number. i then e-mailed them and got my massage back telling me the webaddress did not work. after some research i learned many other people have been burned by this website. so i contacted paypal and they contacted the seller. thank goodness for paypal, i got a refund in one hour. which means that the seller never intended to send my item. had i waited 20 days paypal wouldn't have been able to help me.

to make a long story short in my opinion i would not order a girth belt from tackoutlet.com. hope this saves people from lost of money and time.

Thanks, man. Sorry they tried to rip you. Wouldn't happen to have a product number would ya?

I made the same mistake. I used a link through TK409's website and found tackoutlet.com. I ordered the girth belt through their website and waited and waited. They are very deceiving because their website sends an automatic order confirmation. I even sent a request via tackoutlet's website for a order/shipment confirmation a few times which also sends back an automatic email saying they got the email and they are looking into the order status. After multiple emails and finding other buyers with similar problems I got my refund back through Paypal. I emailed TK409 to let him know to disable that link but I never heard back. I don't think its Chris' fault at all, just that this business has gone under and somehow still has their website running.

Again buyer beware!!!

That's just odd. I ordered a new girth belt through tackoutlet a month ago and received it ten days after I had ordered it. Item number SKU 10266 at $17.95 out of Florida.

Stateline Tack has girths on sale right now for $12.95
DO NOT BUY THEM >
Stateline is reputable, but the girths are a Rayon blend & will not dye with Fabric Dye

ugh i cant find a 34" anywhere to save my life!!
The smaller sizes are harder to come by I've found. Here is a link that may get you what you want. (I can't vouch for the company 'cause I haven't yet bought my girth belt, so "buyer beware".)

www.marystack.com

However, in one of the other threads, I noticed that the girths can shrink a considerable amount so you may consider that approach, especially if you are going to use the RIT dye method. http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/showthread.php?t=2769

Good luck.

Dover Saddlery is where I ordered my size 34 from. Marystack is all out. I used true measurement. Just remember, you want it to have about a 4 inch space in the back between buckles. So order a bit small. If ya need someone to dye it for you/make your nylon straps, lemme know Daric.
