getting discouraged!

So I originally wanted a replica helmet for my star wars collection. After spending time on the board and reading for hours and hours, i'm hooked. I want to do a full costume. I'm getting discouraged though with the amount of little parts, weathering, color, etc. It's SO much! I know this isn't something you create over night but its still a lot to take in. What was your guys approach when building yours? Start from top to bottom, big pieces first, etc. appreciate any feedback! :) oh and hope everyone has a nice veterans day!

Nemesis I'm right there with you. Either way I want a really nice helmet for my collection. Now comes the question of, will I be taking said helmet out of said collection quite often because it matches said suit I'll be trooping in after getting hooked and spending all my free time and every spare republic credit I have making said suit. A galaxy full of problems, yet mine are still large to me.

I have been collecting parts and peices as they come available for the last 4 years. Inbetween budget and other factors I think I have done well. I have a good enough mix of found parts, upgraded ali parts, and quality TDH member products to have a good troopable suit that will last for years. All I need now is to have someone paint and put it together for me who has done it a few times so I know it will be done right and accurate. Dont be discouraged this is a beast of a costume to do. Take your time and save/spend your money whan ya have it. Good Luck!
