Generic Boba Fett, possibly sacrilegious?

So I've been working on my Fett kit for a few months now, and I think I've done... alright. I haven't gotten any feedback from the experts (you guys) yet so maybe all the enthusiastic compliments I get from laymen are just going to my head.

Here's what I started with: FB_IMG_1432075977267.jpg20150504_0838201.jpg

Where I was:Screenshot_2015-06-23-11-43-14-1.png

That's me on the right.

No, I'm kidding, at this point I can only dream... The guy was great, though!

And where I am now: IMG_30031.jpg

Pretty much everything could be better. I need the right hoses, knees that aren't EVA foam, knee darts, nearly all the gauntlet greeblies (aside from the rocket), better gloves, insignia decals, lots of things. Especially shoes...

I know there's a lot wrong with it, but I like some of the things wrong with it. It makes it more... mine, I guess. I'm not going for movie replica, I'm going for what I imagine every time I think of Boba Fett. So, it was a mix of both ESB and ROTJ.

What do you guys think of that? So far, it's been nice, but every time I see a completed kit of either version I kinda kick myself for not sticking with just ROTJ. I love the color scheme. The red gauntlets, the clowny jetpack, it's great.

Anyways, feedback is appreciated! I think I've come a long way, what do you think, brothers?

I think do it in whatever way makes you happy. It is the same with cars... The vast majority of people will tell you it looks nice and the people who know every Detail of what it is supposed to look like will rip it apart .. In the end, it is your money and your suit so build how you like.

I agree with Hawk! Do your take on BF. If down the road you want to make a screen accurate BF, then do it. But ultimately I say do your suit the way that makes you happy! Cool suit, btw...

Thanks guys!

While I appreciate what you said, and I will continue on the path I have chosen, I'm looking more for feedback on the suit itself. Just any tips, comments, concerns, etc!

Anything helps!

Theoretically, Fett transitioned from one outfit to the others, so you're just filling that gap between movies
A good portion of the gear is the same, just repainted, so you could slowly repaint your way towards RoTJ if that's what you prefer.
Having a final goal in mind will also help with deciding what new parts you need.
There's nothing wrong with a non-specific version, but it will be easy enough to head in the ROTJ direction if you want.

As for specific comments on your build.
Maybe cutout the slot for the electronics on your chest armor and purchase a light set. People love blinking electronics and it takes the suit up a few notches. even having the slot cut out will add to the accuracy.
Dirty up the flightsuit and vest. They look too clean.
The second 'sleeve" of the flight suit seem too long and not the same color as the rest of the suit. They should be the same.
And, maybe find a way so that the shoulder armor doesn't jut out like that. They should sit closer to your arm.

Good luck

Thank you!

The vest and flight suit are weathered a bit, but it doesn't show up on camera. More weathering!

As fir the sleeve color, I went really cheap on the flight suit. I bought a cheap painters short sleeve coverall and sewed on the additions. The coverall was a blend, I used pure cotton...
I definitely need to work on the color. I'd like a more grey/tan color.

And as for the shoulders, I think I can alter the fastener positions to point them down more. Simple reason fir their look is that I'm pretty darn skinny.

Anyways, thank you, I'll take what you said into consideration!
