Gauntlet hinges

I have seen various builds and do not want to go the velcro route, but instead solid hinges. I have discovered with any prop type stuff if you go with real functionality, it lasts longer, is more solid and just looks better. I'm sure the hinges are custom made by cementing hardware from Lowe's or Home Depot and not molded on, but wanted to ask to see what everyone else has seen.

I am just concerned alittle about the metal hinges being too heavy for the gauntlets.

Yes, I did it. I have the thin, piano type type hinges ( I think they' re called ) on the inside of my forearm, and earth magnets holding the outside together. I followed FettDad's idea. ( Thanks Darrell ! ) You just need to trim some of the gauntlet off. I used the regular 2 part plastic epoxy to adhere the hinges and magnets.
