Developed by Michell Engineering, this spindle is part of a sweep arm assembly for an old Hydraulic reference turntable. This part was found by myself and SingleSeat. Enjoy guys!

and now i see how the stayed in the gauntlets... they are much longer than the replicas people make... way more surface inside the gauntlet to glue on to.

and what's awesome is that now that they are out there, people can start making REALLY accurate replicas.

Exactly Brian. Now that the community knows about it instead of a select few we can all reap the benefits from more accurate props.

Is there only one on each turntable? I.E. you would need to find four tables to make your gauntlet.

I had a chance to photograph a few darts today and it is really incredible just how small these pieces are. Here they are compared to a US quarter.

Nice picture Art. Here's the comparison one I took holding one of your real darts up to the machined fan-made parts on Brian's guantlet. What a huge difference!

Also figured I'd post the other guantlet with a real dental expander next to the resin one for comparison.

notice that the rings at the pointed end aren't actually rings... they are threads, like on a screw.

i didn't even see that detail in person, but blown up like that it's obvious.

so, who will be the first to make accurate ones!?!? paypal is standing by!

Wizardofflights prints from a year and a half ago show the threads.
Serenity and I knew they were there.

The reason that the "Fan made" ones do not have threads is the fact that they are so small.
    Pain in the butt.
I think that may be why Jango's gaunt darts don't. If they were made in a shop that is and not robbed from something the way Boba's were.

Now that we know that they are stainless, it could be easier to do. When you use a die on aluminum that small, it gaulds up and rips itself apart.

The stainless steel ones I made about 5 years ago are threaded.
