Matter of opinion, they are both great if you ask me....But I dont think they include the neck seal and ankle spats
i got a custom sized one from skygunbro in a week from the time i sent him the measurements. i've very happy with it... i haven't seen the bobamaker ones, so i can't say anything about them.Originally Posted by Down in Flames
it doesn't include the spats or neck seal. i got his vest + flightsuit set.
Skys a great guy to deal with. Great communication and customer service. Received my suit , vest, and neck in a week, and it fits like a glove.![]()
HI all thanks for the compliments....My suits generally take about a week to make and ship...we custom make them to your measurements to ensure a proper fit...the ankle spats and neck seal are seperate parts...
I have seen Bobamakers suits as well and they are beautiful...I cant comment on the the ankles and neck as Im not sure if they come with them or not but Im sure if he sees this thread he will comment.
The suits I do are made of a prewashed medium weight material....If you want a real heavy weight suit like denim or a heavy twill you can find the material and send it and I can make it out of whatever you want...The colors and quality of the material I use I feel are pretty accurate. Sky
Sky,
Thanks for writting ! And thank you ALL also !
Do you make neck seals and ankle spats?
Please PM me.
Sky...
Do you have a website or somewhere I can go to check out your work...
Gettin my helmet soon and I will be getting the flight suit next.
Thanks.
Here's my vote...
I went with my gut and got one of Sky's Jumpsuits as well and they are extremely well made! Vest was just as awesome! You can't go wrong with him.
Jason, many thanks again!
Stay safe.
Tim.
I guess I'll chime in on Bobamaker's side![]()
I haven't personally seen SGB's stuff, but I own one of Bobamaker's suits/vests, and the quality is A++!!
Eric
I haven't seen BM's stuff, but I hear good things about it. I personally have a SGB flightsuit and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Top notch work, fast delivery, and excellent communication.![]()
I went on Sky's sight and cant find the flight suit anywhere...Im I blind?
NO your not blind they arent there![]()
Maybe some folks here could post some pics....about a week and a half ago my pc crashed and I had to do a system recovery which destoyed all my picture files..I had some good pics of the suit being worn by people which I dont have now....SO now I am in the process of taking all new pics but that could take some time...Anyone willing to post pics lmk if you need a host to show them.-Sky
These's are Sky's Jumpsuit, Vest, Spats, and Armor that I painted.
nice...does anyone have a picture they can post of an ESB skybro or bobamaker flightsuit? I am looking for that powder blue look.
thanks
I got Sky's jumpsuit. Excellent guy to deal with. got my jumpsuit&vest in TWO weeks!! And that is WITH INTERNATIONAL shipping and considering that it is custom made that is exremly good service. Usually i have to wait atleast 3-6 weeks for a package from the states!
And if you are on a budget like i am I'd recomment sky's.. but from what i've seen and heard about BM.. and you've got the cash. well... then it's up to you.
I've had the pleasure to have done buisness with both of them and they are both good guys and good buisnessmen..(speedy shipment, excellent comms.) either way.. you can't go wrong!
hmm... the sky suit looks like you need to iron it alot?
I have this jumpsuit from hospital use, and modified it... I can throw it in the washing machine.... sew it... dirty it... wear it... not a wrinkle...
70 & cotton
30 % polyester
If I'd order a jumpsuit I think I'd send my own material...
does it really wrinkle so much?
Personally.. the more wrinkels the better.. makes the Jumpsuit look even more weathered and used..
This is my Skygunbro's jumpsuit and vest.. weathered:

Here's my ROTJ BM suit that he weathered for me.. I think he did a great job.. I'm happy with it although my lighting is a little weird..

Here is my opinion. I have actually had my hands on both suits so I think I have a good perspective. Both suits are very well put together. Sky's has a zipper and BM's are button up. BM's are heavier so I would go with his in a cooler environment. I own a Skygunbro suit and it is perfect for hot weather. The only comment I have for both is that there is no "fly" opening. I busted the seam and sewed in a velcro fly for bathroom breaks. Works great.
Heck while I am at it, I will tell you about the Starfortress suit since I have had one of those as well. It is a zip up and is close to Sky's style. It is heavier than Sky's but lighter than BM's (I think, I did not have them at the same time). I am very happy with Sky's suit, as well as customer service. BM's service is awesome as well and if I could afford it, I would have a BM suit for winter.
hmm... swede's suit looks very different from swatcops'
same material? swatcops looks more like that rain repelling, a bit more shiny material... maybe just camera distortian...
I don;t know about the wrinkles... some form because it's snugged up to your body by belts, vests and whatevers...
but if your suit resides in the closet... I think it would look a little silly if you could see that folding patern back in the jumpsuit.. same as the cape, I used to have a canvas TK-409 ESB cape, but the folds were always a bit strange... almost made me want to keep it in the closet without folding it proper...
somehow that proper doesn't really fit boba, so imo... better no folds then straight ones..
I think that the flash makes the fabric look more shiny than it really is.. my photo is taken in natrual sunlight so the light is softer. So that could be why.. and besides..
fettswatcop suit looks un-weathered.
What is the pricing on Sky's suits?
155 USD on ebay last i checked. (vest&jumpsuit combo) BIN 160 USD(??)
My current SFP jumpsuit is already falling appart. But I guess it could have something to do with soaking it in bleach to remove the lavender color. :o
Anyway, I am ready for an upgrade, and I wanted to see if anyone had some new feedback for this thread.
Gator
Okay. Major question. I am getting ready to order a suit...not sure which one, but one....anyway...When sending in my size, should I say I am a little taller and bigger? Just so I can that loose Boba Fett look? Or should I just say my exact size and leave it up to the creator to make it baggy enough?

in the too big one, i look about 25 pounds heavier than i actually am - it makes the armor hang funny.
we'll just ignore all of the other issues with the version 2 costume there... it's a work in progress![]()
Well, here is a picture of ME wearing my friends Bobamaker ESB suit...it doesnt fit my friend that well, but it surprisingly fits me pretty good. I think it does at least. Or does it? Somebody tell me, becuase he might sell it to me.Originally Posted by Gonzo Fett

It looks a little long in the legs and the arms. Otherwise the size looks good.Originally Posted by cookiemongoloid
It does look a little long in the legs for sure, but the rest looks like it fits you well. Definitely not hard to modify![]()
But, would it be worth buying? I mean, the arms are a little long, but the gauntlets take care of that, the legs, they get tucked into the boots anyway, so... I peronaly like it, but I value the opinion of the Dented Helmet members. So if it sucks, I wont get it. Let me know...
If you wash a bobamaker, will all of the weathering get washed off?
anyone got a pic of a ESB boba flight suit with all their stuff on? it would help with my decision
Just got my BM package full of armour and soft goods! Alll i can say is im lost for words!!! BM IS THE WAY TO GO !!!!!! AND WAY TO GO BM!!!!!! The weathering on both the vest, utility pouches, and ESB flight suit is supurb!!! Well worth every penny and pound and dollar!!!!
Thank you boba maker!!!!
Send a PM to BM and ask him.Originally Posted by cookiemongoloid

too many ROTJs!
-=QuinN!
there are some pics of my skygunbro jumpsuit and vest on this thread. hope it helps

ESB all the way :-)
If one were to get a BM suit, and a SGB vest? Would that end up look really odd?
I just placed an order for a BM flightsuit, vest (with seperate neckseal) and spats.
I'll post pics when I get them.
lol, i JUST placed an order w/ skygunbro for a vest, suit, and neckseal...i guess me and ripcode will keep u posted w/ pics and production times..
i got the whole package for a lil more then $200 which to me was a very good deal (but to any other human, besides the ones on this forum, is way to much for a 'halloween costume')
ps ITS ALL ESB, BABY!!!!
I already asked BM shortly after I got the vest from him. It is possible to wash them but recommends using low tempreatur or hand wash themOriginally Posted by cookiemongoloid
If you wash one of my flightsuits on a cool wash (not hot) then some of the weathering will inevitably wash out, only a small amount though, most of it will remain.Originally Posted by cookiemongoloid

ok, i got my skygunbro stuff yesterday.vest, suit, and neckseal. over all im happy w/ them. lets break it down...
neckseal- very nicly made, i give it a 4 out of 10 on comfort, but i think only because its new fabric- i wore it for about 10 mins and it did get signifigantly more comfiterble. and..it is a neckseal...so there not really made for comfort anyway. overall, very well done- velcro closure.
vest- made from the same rigid material which is good cuz it gives it that 'flak jacket' feel. its really a nice vest, probablly the best ive owned. agian, velcro closure on back- i think i might replace it w/ a zipper, but not a big deal at all. i give it a 9 overall.
jumpsuit- i got ESB, so its a dark grey, it looks real nice. shin pockets and thigh pockets very well made, as is the 2nd sleeve. zipper closure and small peices of velcro on the wrists. a very suprurb peice. a 10!!![]()
thanks skygunbro! speedy shipping too, it took a lil over a week to get..i mean, from the day i ordered it, so that means it was ALL made, shipped, and received in less then 10 days...you cant beat that!!
Thanks for the good review....yeah the neck seals are a little stiff at first but get more comfy as they are used...glad you liked everything and lmk if you need anything else-enjoy
Hey guys, quick question. I got a Skygunbro suit and vest, awesome stuff I might add. The only thing I noticed is my neck opening on the vest seems rather large. I didn't think much of it being a problem, till I started mounting the armor this week. My collar armor overlaps on the shoulder, half on the vest and half off(toward my neck). My collar piece was made using WOL's templetes. Anyone else have this?
lemme check....nope, mine seems fine. i mean, i jsut placed it on the vest...but who knows wat'll happend w/ it on.
Would you mind showing us a picture?Originally Posted by mrgr8ness

The corners of the collars go off the vest, toward the neck.
Here is a pic of my old vest-
The entire collar is on the vest. I love the Sky vest, I would rather use it. It feels more rugged, and looks better IMO. I mean I have options here. I could build a new collar to custom fit the vest, I could alter the vest itself. Right now I'm just using the easy method-using the old vest. At least till I figure something out.
dont forget as well when you put the neck seal on with the blouse that tucks in this wont be noticable anymore......most of the collars i've seen have a rounded inner curve yours has angles which I think looks cool...or if youd prefer you can send back the vest ill do another one with a smaller neck opening.....
well when you join the collar to the black plate that will take up some of the slack. Plus when you wear the kneck seal it will look a little better too.
Jason,
I've actually altered the vest a little already, I took in the sides under the arms so it fit a little snugger in the belly. Um, does that void my warrantyI am up to sending it back for a smaller neck hole. I like the construction of this vest a lot and the color looks real good compared to the MoM exhibit.
