    Jan 26, 2006, 12:29 AM - Flak Vest Designs? #1

Does anybody know where I could find the blueprints to make my own flak vest?

I still have Ronin's plans, if you want them, I'll e-mail them. e-mail me at GCNgamer128@aol.com and title the subject, "Flak Vest," and I will send them to you.

The flak vest has had minor alterations, i.e. (sleeves, jet pack harness holes)

Thanks Ronin! My name is Andy, and I've been on the dented helmet for a while just as someone who comes and looks at junk, I did finally sign up though. I'm a pretty skinny person, but I'm also 5'8". Just out of
curiosity, which version of CAD do you have? I'm an architect so I use CAD all of the time, or too much... I run 2006, the new version is quite nice! Thanks again!

Hey, that would be amazing mate, I would love to get those "pattern" in cad as well the version you prefer :P.

BTW, GCNgamer128, I see you are an architect ... Me too !!! and I also use the Cad 2006 (ADT 2006), really great, , would be a pleasure to talk to you about architecture, and those stuff .

    Architects uke uke uke

we all know Civil Engineers are the only sensible ones

sorry - bit of friendly banter

I will Cad up the bits tonight and then compliment them with pics of the finished article so you can see what it all looks like in the flesh.

Be warned though, my flak vest is constructed from one piece of material (A0 size at least thinking about it). Well its really its two identical pieces back to back with padding in between . You will see from the plans.

I guess you could divide it up once you have the plans.

I will Cad the plans and also PDF them.

Right now I have to design a small community with a school! Bleh! haha. I'm playing the supervisor right now with a few others... I call it being "supervisor" to my superiors, but in reality it's called being lazy. I'll have a few houses done by tomorrow though.

You don't need a CAD program to do this. For those of you that missed it. http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/showthread.php?t=9926

I did this tutorial awhile back. All you need is a few rulers. I'm actually a cutter/draper in my work. That's basically a tailor and dressmaker rolled into one. These plans are taken from everyday tailoring techniques, and altered.

    Hi guys

As some of you may be aware my computer at home decided to stop working and as such i don't have access to the flak vest plans. As sson as i have retrieved the data (if i can) i will send them out to all parties who still to receive them.

If i can not retrieve them i will create a new set next week and send out then.

    cheers

Ditto on the material. Is this the elusive tackle twill material?

    Hi guys

The material is just a simple grey vinyl (similar to pleather). It looks almost the same as the pre-pro vest material as far as i can tell.

Whilst i am building an ESB costume i just preferred the pre-pro vest.

As per my previous message, most of you will now know that my home 'puter has died. I am now using just the works one. Could anyone who has received my CAD plans of the vest please send me back a copy (it will just save me a shed load of time to create new ones).

Also anyone still waiting for the CAD files or PDF files please PM me again.

    cheers ppl
