FettPride V3 / SR V1 Rubber Knee Signup

I wanted to note that canada does NOT cost me more to ship to. So consider that US shipping. (Im getting tired of refunding 5-10 bucks every time because I always forget to tell you:)

Canada = same price within a dollar or two. So no need to pay more.

Update on the darts: These things are a pain in my arse. Ive done 3 molds so far. None of them are working the way I intend as to get all the bubbles out.

Im getting 1-3 bubbles on EVERY dart. On the edge of the outer lips. I have tried squeesing, rotating. Burping. I have even wished upon a falling star.

So the problem is if they are rubber, you cant fix the bubbles. If I make a different type of mold, you will get a seam. Cant fix seams in rubber.

If I make them in resin, they are still a little bubbly, but fixable with any filler.

Im shocked this has been the hardest part of this whole process:) Well outside of my mold box splitting and dropping $100 worth of silicone on the dirty garage floor. But I digress:)

Im going to see about making a 2 piece mold for the darts. So they demold better anyway, but im at a loss.

If I do them in resin they just arent as cool but they are fillable. Ill post a pic later to show you the bubbles.

Ran into a snag today. The new rubber I bought is bad. It has large chunks in the rubber side. The knee I poured had un cured 'dots' in it.

Ill try opening another bottle of it (I bought 5 gallons) and see if I can find a gallon thats not jacked.

Ill keep you all posted.

EDIT: Well at least 1 of the 5 is good. So thats 8 more that I can get done this weekend:) woot.

Cool, that's very honest of you.

One set. No darts. No hurry. No Paypal (evil I tell you) so would need to send Money Order to a snail mail address.

Thanks.

Ill send you my address when I get to you on the list:)

And funny you should say that. Because 3% collected for credit cards is a farce. and paypal is worse. I agree. But sometimes I just suck it up and take it. Otherwise it would be a lot harder for me to get these to you guys:)

Thanks:)

Ive gotten a few questions about 'bad pulls'. I thought this would be a good time to clear up good pull/ bad pull wasted pulls.

I constitude a bad pull if:
There are bubbles on the front or main area. Or any 'flexible' area. This doesnt happen often. Because of how I made the mold. Gravity forced any air away from the front and flexible places

I do not use enough rubber and the void is not filled up. Making an incomplete pece. These cant be sold, they cant really be fixed.

The rubber does not gel properly. (Rubber goes bad fast once opened, real fast) These cant be sold. They will crumble and be sticky.

Alternatively a good pull is:
Solid rubber. Good cure.
A complete piece. No missing details.
There are very few if ANY bubbles. Any bubbles have to be very small, and not on the main surface.

The back and or the rear facing edge sometimes have a small air bubble, but its always on a hard or non flexing surface. It wont tear and can be filled if necessary. The bubbles are smaller than bb's, more the size of a push pin bead.

UPDATE: Closing the list at this time. Im already feeling the wear and tear. After I go out for my b-day dinner tonight, ill pour a couple more sets. I should get through the first 20 this week, and be able to finish the darts. Next week the next 20 and then ill need some time. Its getting a bit overwhelming for me. Im sure any of you that has tried to run a one man show knows what I man.

There will be some seconds and test pairs that end up for sale at the end of this run of 40 a little cheaper. Ill keep you all posted. I will have to pair up the 'good' knees and see what ends up waste at the end.

I expect there to be quite a few darts that go as seconds as well.

Thanks again everyone.

 At least your work space shows more completed work then mine! I also see the new aqcuisition on the pool table. She's very nice! Regardless, happy belated B-day.

Tonight I will have the first 20 knees done. And start boxing them to ship. Should get 10 out tomorrow.

Based on my paypal receipt order.

Once those are shipped, ill go to next 10 on the list for paypal.

Ill also finish the master dart mold tonight.

As silly as it sounds. i made a 2 piece mold for the master dart so that I can start with as clean a master as possible. The 4 darts I have are all slightly different sizes. So I took the best one, and am making a mold of it. Ill make 4 from that and then clean them, and make 3-4 molds of 4, so I can get these out in a reasonable time frame.

Im hoping to get the dart orders ready this week.

Ill post more later once im settled.

25 6 x 6 x 6 shipping boxes = 50 dollars
25 pours of rubber = 250 dollars
2 sharpie markers -= 4 dollars

Not having to make my own boxes to ship in? PRICELESS

Boxing up all orders to ship tomorrow. Sending the next set of PMS once they are all boxed.

Finishing the darts.

i bet the latex caulking thing would work on the darts too... give it a shot. just put some in the holes, then smooth it out with your finger. if you wet your finger you can feather it out nicely.

I just dont like shipping something that needs _work_ to make nice.

I know how it feels to open a box and go 'hmm. ok' instead of 'sweet!'

I want people to say 'sweet!'. Every person that received a interior foam kit _really_ was excited. THey said it looked 5 x nicer in person, than in the pictures.

I wanted this project to be that quality. A 9. Instead theres a seep line. that makes it an 8. Bad darts, id rather give the darts away free than have someone pay for something that they dont think is quality.

Which is going to be the option I go with if I dont get this sorted soon:)

On a side note. 9 boxes ready to ship tomorrow. Have 6 pairs ready. Im going to PM 5 more people, on the 'no darts' list. See if they are ready to roll.

Yours are going tomorrow stormtrooperguy if I have any bad darts Ill stuff them in your box. If I can find them in the mess:)
