Those boots are really looking good! Some great talent here! :D(y)
My Fett budget is reduced until my move is complete so after my move (if you still have any) I will be interested! :D

b.fett, you could be put in the list as an interested guy for the boots run, but as Jango_Wes said before...you are not pushed or obligated to buy, regardless if you're in the list.

You could order them now (as I did), and get the money at least average $50 a week and save them to yourself until you get the whole price for them (which I already have handy), just waiting for the payment and shipping info). Besides, the boots won't be done in about a month, 1 1/2 - 2 months from now, so that's enough time to save money for these babies.

Can we start paying for these so he can get cranking on them? I really want mine in time for DC and it is 7 weeks away. I will be fine if they arnt done in time but I would prefer if they were.

I asked him about starting now. He's not sure he can get them done by DC. He said he can try, but he can't guarantee it, especially if he tries to order enough material for one or two pair. He said he could have them done in the prototype material no problem. But I told him no, that accuracy is what we strive for and we want them in canvas.
If we have several people who WANT to pay now and start their order, we can do that. That way he can order the bulk material and get started, but I would rather have 5 or more.

Wes,
I will be out of town from Wednesday to Monday, Do you think the order will need to be placed this week or next?

I'll probably place an order this week. I want to place more than just one, but if one is all I get....

Do you want my payment now or when I get back then? I don't want to miss this if you don't do another order. I also want to get them made out of the good materials as well:)
LMK and I can pay at anytime.

Wes Payment no problem but please let me know if shipping to the UK is going to be extra and, if so, how much extra?. Once I have this figure payment will come winging its way to you

Ditto Crusty, what's the inclusive cost with shipping to the UK?

Also ditto Crusty on the first page, if the spikes could be removeable, that'd be great. If not, or it will affect the price, leave 'em on and I'm sure we'll figure something out.

Cheers Wes, Great work. Looking forward to those completed prorotype pics!

Shipping to the UK should only be a couple of dollars extra. Just add $5 for UK shipping.

For simplicity sake, all boots will have spikes. They will not be attached, that way, if you want to put them on, that's up to you.

Yeah, Jeez. Add $5. And for customs, I'll check "gift" and make it like a $10 toy. Is that ok for the out of the US guys? That way you don't have to pay tax or whatever.

Dude, that would be perfect for us Canucks! It doesn't necessatily ALWAYS avoid customs fees, but it'll sure help! Okay, I'm off to pay!! :D

Cheers!

Value - fine. $10 - $20 should skip past customs, plus if they open them, they'll have no idea of the value, so it should be a winner.

As for marking them "toys", that may cause problems for Europeans. There is some very dull law in Europe that says that all toys must have been tested to destruction and be safe in the process. Once they've been tested they get what is called a "CE mark". I have no idea what it stands for, but toys without this are illegal, as is the importing of them. This all sounds like a bunch of crap, but I have friends who have had prop packages marked "Toys" be inspected at customs and confiscated as the "toys" didn't have the CE mark.

Very dull, but from Europeans point of view, it would be better to have it marked "2nd hand shoes" or "2nd hand fancy dress costume parts" or something.

I guess marking it off as a "gift" with a $10 value would do best for international customers as well ;)
