Fett Blasters and trades....Who is still owed what?

Coming up on the end of the year and my work is hopefully going to slow down a tad after the New Year. We will be working the holidays minus Christmas Day. My interest is who is still owed. I will check my PMs in a week or so on Christmas when I am off work. Thanks for being patient. Just PM me if we had a trade in the works.

Re: Fett Blasters and trades....Who is still owed what?

Here is a picture of the EE-3 ESB version 2 and the EE-3 ROTJ version 1. The ESB version 2 ready to go aside from me not having any time to make it yet. The ROTJ is just waiting on the scope which will be done by the weekend. I don't have pictures of the guns painted. These are raw rubber parts. They look much better painted....I know.

The ESB version 2 has a couple changes to it. The scope has been remolded for better detail. The scope mounts have been remade and remolded for a better fit and are now separate from the scope. The scope mount bands have been remade and remolded completely. There is now a disc under the V-8 swing arm.

The ROTJ has been molded from a master of the Webley. HandSchaub loaned us the Webley to mold this orignally. The barrel was molded on the gun. It was made by Ken "Elvis Trooper". The nozzle is separate from the barrel and is put on after to hide the pour spout of the part. All fins are molded and cast separately. The scope and risers are almost complete. The stock details are molded and cast separately to ensure good detail. There is some thing on the gun. I have no idea what the hell it is but it is also molded separately. I think that's it.

There are more pictures on the website.

We are still working 7 days a week right now but we look like we might get a couple weeks of a normal schedule at the first of the year. We have literally not had a day off in 4 weeks. We will have Christmas day off and New Year Day and that's it. Ugh. I'm beat.

I am hopefully back on schedule as far as my side Star Wars B.S. props once I get a couple days off.

Thanks. Okay. I cleared out my PM box. If I owe you something, Please title it "YOU OWE ME BIG TIME!". That way I can tell who is who. Thanks. LOL

Before I do anything new, I have to take care of my old trades and such.

I think the ROTJ is painted a kind of mottled grayish-black. The movie blaster was a resin piece o **** as far as I know.

John's work speaks for itself, unequivocally the best artwork of this medium I have ever seen.:thumbup

He's up to his ears in work at the moment, but I know he'll deliever the goods to who he owes because he's a good guy who doesn't go back on his promises.

Yikes. This is why these are so expensive.....Just so you all know. For every 5 or so good blasters, there is a bad one that is unusable.

You can see in the picture below that the bottom blaster's stock is buldging at toward the handle. This is a bad one. This blaster will be torn apart and the armatures will be reused. It's a lot of wasted time and materials. Ugh.

I thought all you have to do is dunk the original in wet silicone,
wait til it hardens (only takes a few minutes)
pull the original out & pour rubber into the hole it leaves behind.

Can it be purchased with the scope detached so we can choose which way the scope points?

I thought the scope was supposed to be backwards. I have pictures from ROTJ that show it backwards.

Here's a couple pictures that I have. I also see a few screen caps where the scope is the other way. I guess it doesn't really matter.

From the AOSW and MOM exibits, the scopes on those are pointed in the correct direction.

Sheesh! I guess either way would be correct!

I played with a couple of these rifles and MAN are they light weight and FREAKING AWESOME!!!!

I think next time I see them, I am gonna steal one. I'd show my "In Progress" pics I took but they involve rubbing them on parts of my body. Didn't want to make Nathan all grossed out.

    John,

    Technical questions:

Since these are rubber, is something used to reinforce the stock connector?

For painting I'm guessing you use acrylic paints?

I'll reply for John ( since he does not get on very often),
    Yes, there are re-inforcements inside.
    The blaster is quite rigid.

Re: Fett Blasters and trades....Who is still owed what?

Hi. Yes. There is a 3/16" thick steel armature that has been waterjet to fit inside the gun during the casting process. This armature is VERY rigid.

This increases the weight a bit but it is necessary to make this rigid and durable. I know that a lot of the resin guns do not do this. They often cast aluminum pieces or such. This armature is cast into the gun and keeps the finished product clean and strong.

For the ESB version, there are sling mounts added to the gun in the appropriate locations. Apparently, the ESB version had a sling. This picture shows the mounts. This was a prototype. Now they are turned the other direction for easier sling attachment and they are made of stainless steel rod.

    Just to sum up....

The armatures in this gun are as follows:
    3/16" Steel waterjet stock armature
    3/8" Aluminum handle armature
    1/2" Carbon fiber barrel armature
.08" Stainless steel trigger and trigger guard armature
.08" Stainless steel sling mount armatures (ESB only)

I think that as soon as I have the trades all in order and as guns are completed, Slavefive will be working with me to get thing going and out in a timely fashion. :P This way, I am not behind and stressed and under the gun all the time.
