Nice work guys. There is a person on these boards that owns one of these, but I don't know if he's going to share his pics or knowledge on this find here. Would be nice though.![]()

Here is a quick pic with the shroud removed.
Nice Delta, comin up with the goods!!!!!!!!!!!
Woah.... great pic Delta!
Thank you for sharing
Very cool shot! Thanks for sharing!
This thing seems to be more rare than frogs fur. I have been checking the scuba forums only to find some of you guys already there looking.![]()
I hope one of you guys can find one and start making copies.![]()
Very cool shot!! I guess it stands to reason that these weapons will most likely be in rather rough shape considering they were used under water. No worries about weathering on whoever finds one![]()
Sooooo......... Who's going to be the first to cast one?
Delta, do you have one too?
GREAT INFO GUYS! Man I wish I had been able to help research this!
Keep it coming!
some can still be found. here is a pic of a 40 with dark gray anodized barrel, and a 60 with the silver barrel, and an additional pic from some barrel parts.

Great pics, thanks for sharing.
Is it yours? Can anyone cast it?

Looks even better in the holster bruv...![]()
Good stuff V...thanks for sharing...awesome pics...your research paid off.
Very cool, thanks for posting pics volkerc.
not bad V. congrats on finding one![]()
Very Nice!!
I hate when pics like this surface... it gets EVERYONE looking again.
time to hunt!!
Before paint, you must cover the hole on the handle, and after fill the hole but before paint it, you should cast it a sell copies![]()
Looks Fantastic V. only thing that looks off. in addition to them filling in the grip it looks like they also sanded off the textured grip other than that it looks like you got it spot on. may i ask what color you used for the gun?
mixed the color myself. yup, forgot to fill the holes by the trigger, gonna touch that up. and i'm not sure about the texture on the grip. it would require a lot of sanding as it is a raised area. so before i start to modify it heavily i'll wait for clearer pics.
That's nice, thanks for sharing... with as rare as this gun is, you really should consider getting somebody to cast it.![]()
simply awesome..
jealous
and here is a photoshopped comparison of both barrels, the dark gray and the silver.
pic is a bit blurry cause i didn't use a flash and just natural lighting. but i think you get the idea.

while the silver would most likley be more accurate, i think the grey looks alittle better and its already weathered for you..
As this may be something that we would ALL love to have a casting of.. I for one am of the party that the decision should be left up to the person with the actual prop, and he should not feel obligated or pressured to have it cast for the sake of the masses, .....
and I mean that just "in general" not just for this thread....again, IMO...
besides V did allot of work/research to get one, I think he should enjoy it a little.
I'm just glad that V has provided us with some pretty pictures of this new found part.... and he should be commended for sharing what he has, as this piece has been known for some time yet unfortunately that "information" was never shared for what ever the reason....yes dumb I know.
Thanks V, some great pics.![]()
Yeah he's a hero
I too feel that Volkerc should feel NO obligation whatsoever to make any copies. This is his spear gun, and he should do with it what he wants.
I don't quite agree with you here, though. Just as finders of found objects, or sculptors of costume parts don't have to share copies if they don't want to, people with information or picturesthat are not public don't have to share either.
Believe me, as someone fairly out of the loop, I would love to gain any information that others are willing to share! Besides, this information was shared. If it wasn't, then Volkerc wouldn't have been able to find this nice spear gun.
Back on point: We'll never know for sure which barrel the original spear gun had, or how it was painted (or not). I'd just go with what you like best. I really like the gray barrel. It just looks more like something Fett would have.

I am making a preemptive post now to say that this thread is about the exploration and the discovery of the ESB sidearm. We greatly appreciate those who have shared their information but debating the sharing of information or who shared what and who didn't is counterproductive to this discussion. Stay on target.
Personally, I think the silver looks better, and I think it's logically what the "right" color is by deducing that the end nub is silver, and the tip/nozzel is silver. Just my thoughts.
Is it a reasonable assumption to say that the "right" color is most likely a moot point since it appears that LFL made modifications to the gun and then painted it?
Absolutely Art, I only mean "right" (in quotes) as in what the "real" gun would look like if it were a real gun!Is it a reasonable assumption to say that the "right" color is most likely a moot point since it appears that LFL made modifications to the gun and then painted it?Purely speculation, but using some derivative logic.
Of course if some Mandalorian Arachnid had something better to show us....![]()
well, knowing there might be some interest in this sidearm i might be willing to loan one of my pieces to a talented member here to make copies. and having been in contact with a certain member here, i'm convinced mojo-fett could do a great job on supplying copies for the members here. so basically depending on the interest i might go ahead and loan it to him, to make his moulds. the plan is to provide a copy with aluminum and resin/plastic pieces. if you have any questions i'm sure mojo will be glad to answer them.
if there is not enough interest we will scrap the idea.
Wow Volker, that is great news!!
I know I'd be in for a kit!
Gav! you have to do it bud!![]()
Maybe there should be a separate Interest thread??![]()
i would be interested fo sure
Mojo, PM on way![]()
Hi
Good news : I have a Technisub Pulse 40 to sell and I am waiting for your propositions !!!!!
I am from France and collect old spearguns.
Cheers
Hi JerMada,
Per board guidelines, sales must be posted in the Cargo Hold section, and you must list your asking price.
Hello guys,
i am so impressed of your research on finding the correct version blaster for the ESB side arm.
what is your opinion on the technisub 60 is this one easy to make it shorter?
is the technisub 60 exact the same only the barrel lenght is longer as the 40?
the barrel does reminds me a little like jangoś blaster barrel.
hope they ever let us see more of this mystery costume it does make it so more interesting!
thanks you guys are the best!
