Evolution Props: The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly

while I regret hearing about your daughter, Gabe is clearly not the only one that is having a continual issue with you. After spending his money on your stuff, and receiving fake tracking numbers, broken product, and poor product he has every right to hound you until the issue is made right by either sending him what he ordered as shown by your photos or by giving him his money back. And frankly your responses are sounding a lot like the ones I got from SFP after they ripped me a new one. The number of complaints from the number of people quite sufficiently shows the truth about your product and services, had you changed and improved, the complaints would have stopped afterwards.

(sorry for rants, but con-man vendors irritate me to NO end.)
 
After dealing with SFP and others, now seeing the reply from Gabe, something has struck me as funny. It seems like everyone who has a bad rep here also has a habit of horribly misspelling 90% of words on their post as well as horribly broken english to where you have to rearrange sentences to understand it. This has led me to a new personal rule, If they spell like a 1st grader and type like Yoda, I avoid them.
I understand that this is YOUR Personal Rule, but...
This isn't really fair to those that might be using English as a second language. It is difficult to express yourself in a language that you do not normally speak.
I am not defending Gabe or his actions.What I am saying is that you can't judge a person's character my their command of the English language.
 
He only has 6 negative reviews in the past 12 months. That should say something.
If he ripped anyone off, I agree, he needs to make it right. But only 6 in twelve months, he's no fraud.
 
Charlie ... really I am thinking that you are s.... you write me 8000 times and i reply 8000 times, you do not have the minimal intention of solving the problem thatyou has, it seems to me that you only want the money ... I am starting getting tired of you and all your bad comments, threats and constants demands ... if you give himself the luxury of speaking of my tell the truth ... but not ... already it me has lied and already to realized many hurt , tomorrow you get my final response , and i expect the response to close this problem.-

In turn I recognize, problems with some products that it should solve (already I have explained it before) and others that I am solving, but I assure them that have had 10 or 20 problems in a total of 2000 sold articles ... this year was hard for me, because i lost my daughter, and only for 1 month ago i taking the reins of the business again , which was entrusted to friends who elegantly helped me in this difficult moment-

Gabe your trying to make me look bad and its not going to work . Gabe I have sent you over $2000.00 and what I got it worth poop . Its not 8000x's its 97 emails with 3/4 of the with no response @ all . You just started emailing my after you have my name on it here . I have EVERY email Gabe OK from day one so tell the truth now . I sent you $2200.00 Gabe and your stuff is poop if you wish I can put up picks and video of what I have . That will show all of what poop I have from you . You have stolen to much money from others . You don't have your stores right Gabe . Your mom died 2 x's in 2 week from the emails I got from you . You cant even remember the BS you give everyone . I want what I asked for that is all . If I have to Gabe I will call the Argentina Embassy about you and the free triad agreement we have with your country . You making your own country look bad . Monday I will put up picks + video on my you tube account of what I have and WILL PUT IT UP ON HERE GABE SO OTHERS CAN SEE THE I HAVE . I have a event to do this weekend with 501 approved parts as a TK/SL/TD & others (unlike your ROTJ Fett that is in NO way 501st approved ). LOL OK my GF has been looking @ this and she went HMMMMMMMMM does Gabe have another name on here ???? Could it be YOU Kthur . Makes you think does it not young one .

That I found among the poor vendors I have dealt with in the past that
struck me as humorous.

I would say YES So Monday I will put up a link to my photo bucket & me you tube account so ALL can see . Gabe FU@@ED me out of over $2000.00 so if you GABE want this on you tube and picks up you will give me what I asked for .

This is not my first trip around the block and it will not be my last . But this SOB needs to be stooped and it looks like im the one to do it and I will . Evo props will soon come to a bad end soon trust me . If I have to use a favor to do this I WILL . He played with the wrong American .

I have a event to do today so Sunday or Monday I will make a video of the little parts I have and what the part look like that I have . So some of you will know what im telling you is the truth . The parts have been look @ by 4 others that have been doing this a long time and its trash can armor . So look for my you tube link to my account so you can see the poop I have for my $2200.00. But today it is time to make the kids happy . Happy trooping to all :)
 
Dude, calm down. My name is Kyle, and I live in Texas. The only reason I am defending him is cause I had a good experience. I never said it was ok for him to rip people off, I never said you should just drop it. As for saying that I'm him under a new name, does it look like English is a second language for me? I just think you're such an *** that you'll tell anyone with a different opinion than yours to shut their pie hole.
At least I'm willing to put myself in your shoes, put an order in through the website, and sit back a wait to see what happens.

Gabes English isnt that "american" theres no way thats him....My one and only experience with him went fine, I dont use any of the parts as Ive since sold them but I did get spikes boots and knee darts....I still have the gaunt darts actually took a month to receive them and had no real issues
 
While I have only had time to skim over this thread and was only alerted to it by a fellow board member, the call for britt59/Gabe/Evolution Props to be banned seems a bit extreme. He is still here on the board, he is still responding to inquiries and accusations. He hasn't simply vanished.

While I am not going to defend Gabe specificially, something I think needs to be stated anew for ANY transactions you have on the internet is "caveat emptor." The internet is not Wal-Mart. Internet transactions often are not handled professionally, don't have a customer service department and have very loose return policies if any at all. I don't know how it is in other hobbies, but I can tell you this without a doubt. If you ever become a seller or maker of props... every bad thing in the world will happen to you. You will lose you job. Your wife will leave you. You dog will run away. Your car will break down. Your paypal account will be hacked. You will become chronically ill. Apparently the wold hates those who produce items for others and will throw everything at you, including the kitchen sink to stop you from getting those items to your customers on time. Now, whether these issues are real or imagined, buyers just need to know in advance, the minute you buy something from someone, all of the things listed above are going to happen to the seller you just paid and more than likely if they tell you 5 days it is going to be 5 months, and if they tell you 5 months, you will likely die before you see the product. There are exceptions to this rule, but generally speaking this is what happens and you just need to know and accept it going in. If you can't accept this fact of internet trading, you shouldn't buy on the internet. While all of this is said somewhat facetiously, on the whole, there is some truth to it.

So, in regard to Gabe, for those calling for a ban, it just isn't going to happen at the moment, not as long as he is still here and making an effort to make his issues right or at least defend why he is doing what he is doing. If you don't like the quality of his products or his shipping or he returns policy, you are welcome to say so and DON'T BUY FROM HIM. However, to imply the guy is some type of scam artist seems a little over the top.
 
I have giving Gabe a time to respond to me email as in a refund . That time is 12 noon Monday Sep 20th 2010 my time to give me a 3/4 refund but if he does not I will put up the video I made so I will give him the chance to make this right with me . If he does not then I WILL PUT HIM OUT OF THE PROP STUFF and will have his PP account removed and his ebay one to . So the above is telling me even if he has RIPED OFF and others so many you don't want him removed ? Thats BS . When you spend the money I have then you can say that but have you spent $2200 on POOP ( OK S#@T ) If Gabe wants to make this right he will do what I said I want in the emails I have sent him with a poop response from him .
 
I see art's point, and he has some good ones. However Gabe seems to be abusing the privilege. Also I'd like to see something done about him, letting him go as long as he's here and claiming to be trying to make it right and fix the problem is simply giving him more chances to profit from someone else. Despite his claims otherwise, the number of complaints against him prove that he clearly has no intention of making things right with anyone. Would you let the SFP guy proceed as long as he was making claims to fix things? There comes a time when you just have to put a stop to it. Letting these guys run rampant will eventually affect the reputation of the board. Maybe not a ban, but maybe a probation period, if issues continue during such, he's banned or some such. Or maybe there could just be a list of risky vendors?

I'm here, I will try to respond in the most concise possible all previous thread (I'll use the translator, so no one complains about my English) .... mostly I start to tell you a little about me, my name is Gabriel I have 36 years, living in Buenos Aires, Argentina .... I started collecting Star Wars items in the year 1998 ... I specializes in the vintage line only .-

Over time I discovered I loved the props and now I have four costumes personal in my collection ... one Clone Trooper, Biker Scout, Green Hornet and an Imperial Officer.

I started this venture to sell costumes in the year 2006 with other people here who shared the same taste, the business was not good ... but the passion for the work did not decrease but increase .... after these first attempts I decided to start Evolution in the year 2007 .... trying to specialize in soft parts, aluminum parts and small accessories .... in late 2008 to incorporate the line of armor made of plastic, I must admit that this line has brought me more pain and a head .... because they are delicate pieces that I'm posting from a remote location, some have had problems in the shipping ... there were delays in construction due to many requests and obviously some customers do not like the craftsmanship that one does .-

That is why this line always try to keep in constant evolution to improve it, but I realized that it is better to make few quality pieces rather than several that may be objectionable .... Evolution currently has over 10 people working in all lines, each one does his best to meet customer demands ... I am the public face and who has the responsibility to solve problems and make everyone happy ...

This year (and do not want to sound like an excuse) I had a few personal problems (which some might know and others not, is irrelevant to explain) ... in this period that people try to bring me things the best possible ... but some problems occurred and still not solved .-

As far as I can tell my reputation, which currently operates more than 2000 transactions and I have 20 problems .... ideally, none at all, but sometimes some things are beyond my control (such as e) and those that are trying to solve my fault .-

By way of explanation (and without giving any names) let you know that I have been scammed more than one time by any member of this forum and other customers who have initiated complaints with the promise of returning the parties, I will send a refund and repayment The parties never came, I once returned a box full of papers and pieces of wood ... hiceron more than once a claim with the credit card and lost items and money .... or only received one negative and blackmail for me to take him out in exchange for money or other items ... Please know how to handle many things on Ebay and the buyer has all the cards to win every time .... the seller always loses and can never say anything because it is not nice that someone who sells this accusing buyers be scams!

I would love to find a post where I speak well of the more than 2000 guests who never had a problem and are happy with my items .. but we know it is unlikely .. and that the only thing that stands out are the bad things .-

If I were a crook ... as someone hinted here ... you really think they could be doing since 2006? ... you really believe that only six would have negative (which I can explain and they will realize that they are malicious) .... you will believe that all 20 claims of paypal I had in my career they would not be solved ... and above all you believe if I were that kind of person would be writing here? think about it .-

I am a working man trying to do the best and obviously trying to improve everything you need, I remember a while ago when I was criticized for what delayed my boba fett boots, take action on the issue and improve shipping now doing that within 30 days one can have their boots anywhere in the world ... 200 pairs were sold and I do not destructive criticism, it could also mean the soft parts and aluminum .-

Last paragraph .... My problem with Mr Brown has become serious, I really did not want to tell the details of it and so far let me mess free here and elsewhere .... I do not think I put the details but if I keep forcing it makes ... I offered him more than one solution to which is turning a deaf ear at all times ... believe me it is my last public intecion do this and I'm doing everything possible to find a joint solution to the problem .-

Gabe I told you in a email that I have your stuff boxed up and ready to go back to you UPS with a tracking # . But I will not do so until I get a FULL refund . As to you getting riped off before when you have given a refund your just going to have to trust me with this one just like I trusted you in sending the stuff I ordered .
