Hi,

Here are some pictures of a project I've been working on for awhile. It is based off of the MLC sidearm that has been around for a couple of years. First off, let me say the MLC has definately filled the void for the ESB sidearm and is a great piece unto it's own. However, there were some things I was looking to improve upon.

The biggest changes from the MLC are:
1. Solid 2 pc vac cast in brown resin upper and lower assembly

2. Spring loaded trigger assembly - trigger to be cold cast in aluminum, currently mine is cast in white, but I'll change it later on.

3. Bolt together assembly of upper and lower halves with cast in nuts. The screw are recessed into the barrel slot and are covered when the barrel is in place. So no hardware is showing when assembled. Glue would not be required. Additionally the two halves key into place.

4. Reworked some of the symmetry and "crisped up" / "squared up" some details

5. CNC'd aluminum barrel assembly (muzzle, barrel and back knob) that slides into the pocket and is captured/retained by threading into the back knob. This also can allow for me to vary the barrel length if needed.

What's left to do:
Cold cast another trigger in aluminum
Finish sanding and paint in an accurate carmel brown
Post some pics of completed unit.

Well its still the best we have got for the time being and its based off the marmet figure. and at the rate things are going i dont think we will see any copys of the Technisub for a Long time unfortunately... who knows im just thankful we have somthing for the time being, accurate or not

I started building this long before the Technisub discovery became public knowledge. Seeing how I was 90% done by the time the Technisub was announced, I wasn't going to ditch the project. Once I pick up a Technisub, I'll use it instead.

Great job man. It took about 2 years, but its worth the wait. I will holstered the baby proudly.

As far as not being the screen accurate one. I'm still going with this one until we see real LFL images of the real one that was used during filming. I know that the Technisu just came out, but we're not 100% sure the rest of the gun actually looks like the Techno.

So this baby will do really good for now.

Boba Phett - will my be ready August 2nd?

I agree, I doubt you will see technisub copys being made any time soon. Personally I like the nemrod better. Great job, cant wait to see it finished. BTW, do you offer these our is it just something your doing.

For the time being it's just something I'm doing. Maybe a small run later on.

I am kicking around offering the 3 pc aluminum barrels on their own for MLC owners that are looking to upgrade their existing gun. After this weekend I'll know more. ;)

New pics added with the Aluminum barrel. See 1st post.

At this time I am only offering the barrels for sale to convert existing MLC owners.
